Juan, was the BEST realtor we could have hoped for. We were lucky to learn about him through a friend recommendation. Because we had a small window of time to find a home, we knew we needed someone who was knowledgeable about the housing market, dependable and had our best interest in mind. We were quite nervous with the process of purchasing our first home but Juan exceeded our expectations through the entire buying process. He was patient, professional, proactive and available. We cannot imagine a better experience and cannot wait to refer him to other people.

I truly can't recommend Juan highly enough. He shepherded us through our first home search seven years ago and we called him immediately when we were ready to sell. When we were first-time home buyers in a seller's market, he helped us land our dream condo. When we sold our condo, he helped us navigate the rapidly changing market and get a great price. He is extremely knowledgeable about the market in Boston, very patient and incredibly responsive. He pulled off several miracles in our recent sale, working to find a way over every obstacle and roadblock. But, in addition to being a great professional and problem solver, he is also just a joy to work with. His sense of humor and calm demeanor make the process as stress-free as possible. Juan is just the best!

We can't recommend Juan strongly enough! If you're looking to buy a house in the Boston area, he will help you evaluate what makes sense for your family, and will guide you through the whole process. Fantastic agent and person.

Juan has been our real estate agent since 2016, and helped us buy our first place in 2017, a third floor walkup in Roslindale. With a growing family, we were looking for a bigger place in 2021 and heard that a friend-of-a-friend was looking to sell their Roslindale house off-market. Some agents might discourage an off-market opportunity, but Juan was relaxed about it and helped us discern that it was the right purchase. He facilitated the deal between buyer and seller and recommended numerous contractors that he knew extremely well and used on his own house. To give us time for the renovations, he ensured that months of (free!) rent-back were a part of the offers on our condo, and also got us top dollar on the offer -- a good bit over what we thought were reasonable comps. Having seen how smoothly our experience went, our second-floor neighbors worked with Juan to sell their condo, and had a similar experience. The renovations on our house are beautiful, and Juan and his wife Stella even threw us a housewarming party a few months after moving in!

We have had terrific experiences working with Juan Murray, both to purchase our house and then to sell the house 6 years later. Juan is an incredibly experienced and helpful agent.

In selling our house, we simply packed up and left (moved out of state), and Juan and his team took care of EVERYTHING. They cleaned, repaired and staged the house to be sold.

I had known Juan prior to retaining him as our agent and anticipated a comprehensive, well thought out, sales strategy that fit my and my wife's desires and goals.

I was right. While I want to say it was our great preparation that made the process go so smoothly, I think the advice and hand holding Juan provided and the behind the scenes work he did was what actually made our experience exactly what we had hoped for.

He also had a great support team that advised us on staging the house and did minor maintenance and clean up work.

I was a first time home buyer and that’s not easy in this market, but Juan made sure I always had relevant information and brought his expertise to all showings. I was really nervous since buying a house is such a large investment, but Juan made me feel confident when we put an offer in. This is because he gives his honest opinion at showings - if he thought the house was meh, he would say so and if he thought the house looked in good shape he was indicate that as well. Even though it took many months to find the right property, he never pressured me into an offer I didn’t feel comfortable with. I would highly recommend Juan if you’re looking for a buying agent particularly for first time home buyers.

I worked with Juan on the recent sale of my JP condo and purchase of a new single-family home. Juan was a pleasure to work with, and he is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the buying and selling process. Juan guided me through the successful sale of my condo during COVID-19 restrictions, he even pitched in to help with the finishing touches on the staging of my unit in preparation for the photos and open house. One weekend on the market and I received several offers, ultimately accepting one over list price.
Juan and his team expertly executed the purchase and sale agreement and all of condo sale details, resulting in a seamless transaction on my end. Juan was very strategic in both the selling of my condo and purchase of my new home. Juan worked with me to set the condo list price leading to multiple offers, as well as advising me during the bidding process for my singe family home.
The hot Boston area housing market was quite daunting when I began my search, inventory was extremely limited resulting in bidding wars on every property. Juan advised me about different strategies that allowed me to put in the strongest bids possible, ultimately resulting in my successful purchase of a wonderful home that met all of the most important factors on my wish list. Most importantly, Juan was able to provide a “reality check” during the months of my house search when I lost out on several properties and I started worrying about whether I would ever find a home in the area I was looking in. Juan’s insights on the market helped me realize that the right home was out there, and I relied heavily on his calm demeanor and knowledgeable feedback during the many, many homes we looked at together. It quickly became clear that it was personally important to Juan that I find a home that was the right fit for me, no matter how many homes we had to look at. Juan never pushed me towards a property if I was the least bit hesitant, clearly his goal was not to make a quick sale, but to ensure I found the home that would work best for me.

I cannot say enough good things about the experience of working with Juan. I am currently writing this review from my dream home, atop a hill in Roslindale (just one of the many "would be nice if"s on our search list). Juan took the time to get to know me and my wife and what we were looking for, which included a number of quirky things. He was super accommodating of our schedules, organized, well-connected to other professionals in the biz, knowledgeable, and gave a great combo of advice and opinion while giving us space to figure out what we liked. He is also very funny and thoughtful so the experience of house hunting with him was quite fun. Hopefully we'll never move, but if we do we'll be calling Juan!

Juan was great at assisting us throughout our homebuying journey. As first time homebuyers, we had a lot of questions, and Juan was always attentive and great at answering our questions and explaining each step of the homebuying process. He was great at communicating with us and the seller's agent with prompt replies making sure everything happened in a timely manner. We were on a very tight timeline with a cumbersome mortgage process so having an efficient real estate agent was a must. Therefore, we are very glad we chose Juan. Searching for a home is hard enough, searching in a state where there is a housing shortage is depressing, searching during a global pandemic is frustrating, searching for an affordable single family home in Massachusetts is practically impossible! But Juan Murray helped me find a beautiful, move-in-ready home in a great town, within my budget and time-frame! As a first-time home buyer in MA, I was dreading the home purchasing process, especially after witnessing the bidding wars outside an Open House, but Juan was patient, very optimistic and knowledgeable. Juan knows Massachusetts very well, and with his years of experience in real estate, I was able to relax and enjoy the search.
