So let’s talk about our experience in teaming up with Julia for both a sale and purchase transaction. My partner and I are two very different people. Different needs, different approaches, and sometimes even differing philosophies. The constant challenge when you are real estating (is that even a word/verb) is where to find common ground within your own party. Julia did a fantastic job understanding each of our individual interests and helping us strike a balance to reach our near, intermediate, and long-term family goals. I am personally someone who gets pent up with anxiety when big sums of money and long-term commitments are at stake. I half-jokingly refer to Julia as my real estate therapist – but that is exactly the kind of help and support I need. She kept our party informed, on task, and at ease throughout the entire process.

Now let’s add on more layers of nuance – dealing with other parties. There are multiple: the buyer and buyer’s agent in the sale transaction, the seller and seller’s agent in the purchase transaction, title and escrow folks on both sides, your mortgage person and their people, and all the doers that help spruce up, inspect, repair, and validate each property. WHOA – the guestlist, whether you like it or not, just blew up! All these interactions formulate what I, someone who is used to routine, call a logistical nightmare. These sporadic challenges happen and it is Julia who is there to help manage it all and to provide you an understanding as to the why and how. She is situationally aware of the levers, or more bluntly, where and when you have leverage and where and when you don’t. She’s effective in a way that is both kind and fair. Her guidance is what helps navigate the treacherous road of dealing with outside parties that have their own interests. But here’s the thing – Julia’s value proposition is that she takes a process that is so highly complex, challenging, and stressful and turns it into something fun and rewarding. We loved working with Julia and we’re so thrilled to have gone through this process with her!

Moving from out of state can be very difficult considering that it is impossible to see the house and the real condition it's in. Julia was our secret weapon to being able to get our very first home outside of our home state. We were introduced by mutual friends and she immediately put us at ease with her professionalism, in-depth knowledge, and attention to every-little-detail of our preferences, as well as her sense of humor! There really are not enough superlatives to describe how wonderful Julia Monaghan was to work with as our realtor. We went into our home purchase with a fair amount of skepticism, and while we had a strong sense of what we were looking for, we really needed a low-pressure environment to take the time to find the home of our dreams. That is exactly what Julia provided. She is extremely knowledgable about the market and took the time to develop a clear understanding of what we wanted in a home, paying close attention to our likes and dislikes. Julia is incredible. She is the perfect combination of kind, knowledgable, and strategic. Within 10 seconds of speaking with her on the phone, I knew she would be the right realtor for us (this is after interviewing multiple realtors for months as we started thinking about buying a home.)

I could not recommend Julia enough!! As first time home buyers - my fiance and I needed as much help as possible. We were anxious, uncertain, inexperienced, stressed out etc. Julia connected with us in a way that made us feel like we had known her for years and we felt like we could trust in her and rely on her through the entire process. She answered all our questions with ease, even answering questions we hadn't thought of yet.
