A true Encinitas local, Justin attended Pacific View Elementary, Diegueno Jr. High, San Dieguito High, and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Communication from Cal State San Marcos. After college, he relocated to the North Shore of Oahu where he was a substitute teacher, landscaper, painter, soccer coach, handyman, and writer. After an opportunity arose at action sports media brand TransWorld SURF, he moved back to the mainland where he ran the digital side of the business including sales, marketing, editorial, and social media. After a ten-year career, he became Global Marketing Director at Superbrand—a surfboard and apparel company based out of Carlsbad, CA. While at Superbrand, Justin and partners launched a towel company called LEUS, manufacturers of towels for beach, yoga, golf, active, and home markets. LEUS can be found at retailers worldwide and is growing at a tremendous rate.
A second-generation real estate professional (his father, Daniel Cote, is the principal at San Diego Investment Brokers), Justin is married to a successful interior designer and has two young children—Jack and Olivia. An active member of his beachside community, Justin is affectionately known as the unofficial mayor of Encinitas and has an innate knowledge of the neighborhoods and off-market gems of his hometown.
