K. Shylon Martin, or Shy Martin as many know her, is one of the most philanthropic people in The Keys. Shy believes that luxury and paradise have no limitations on price—anything from a small first-time family or retirement home to extravagant corporate and family retreats.

Shy started in real estate in Maryland outside of the DC/Baltimore area. The call of the water was too great, so she bought a boat and set off, finally settling in the Florida Keys in 1984. It seemed "everyone" had a real estate license, so she entered banking, law, and the service industry.

After years of listening to what people want and observing the opportunities, she decided in 2003 to resume her real estate career. Her years of working and traveling throughout The Keys have given her knowledge of each Key's unique personal characteristics.
