Kara Malkovich

Raised in Newport where her family ran the Newport Music Festival for over forty years, Kara has been connected to Newport’s community and its culture, arts, and architecture from an early age. After attending Boston’s Emerson College, she spent several years working in film production in Los Angeles and New York City and discovered her aptitude for getting things done under tight deadlines with diverse criteria and individuals. She used this experience to move into the real estate world, where she has been a fixture, in both the sales and rentals markets for close to two decades now. In 2013, she achieved her Broker’s license.

Kara is deeply committed to helping others find their perfect home—their property, their spot, their little “slice of heaven”—and never tires of introducing people to the fantastic area communities. She has an intimate knowledge of the Ocean State—its special people, places, and things that make this such an incredible place to live. Kara is happy to share that knowledge with others, and she is grateful to be able to do so in a business she loves and a place she adores. She loves her work, but equally loves her time spent at yoga, listening to music, and making others laugh. She cherishes her time at the Potter League for Animals—Aquidneck Island’s beloved animal care, shelter, and resource center—where she had been a board member and actively helps to find homes for cats and dogs. She is always on call for her clients, friends and family and Stu, her demanding and infamous cat and two doggies Skye and Sisi.
