Karen has lived in the Chicago suburbs, specifically Glen Ellyn, since 1997, raising three children. She is fortunate to say that two of them are raising their families within a mile of where they grew up! With boys, who played hockey, a daughter, who was an equestrian rider, she attained invaluable knowledge of Chicago-land by driving to rinks and riding events.
Prior to moving to Illinois, her family was relocated throughout Canada and the United States at least a dozen times. Through this process she became a great researcher of neighborhoods. Most of the homes she has owned went through a remodeling process, of which she took a “hands on” approach.
Prior to Karen’s real estate career, she worked in the start-up tech industry. There, she honed her skills in marketing, branding, and negotiating.
Karen has been able to bring these great skill sets to her professional career as a Real Estate Broker. To better serve her clientele, Karen holds the following designations: Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), Certified Negotiation Consultant (CNC), Certified Staging Consultant (CSC), Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI), Seller’s Representative Specialist (SRS).
