Karen Contreras

Having started in the real estate industry in 1987, Karen has managed offices for nearly 20 years and has successfully led agents through many changes in the market. This has afforded Karen a broad perspective and a keen ability to solve problems and adapt to any situation.

Karen Contreras’ real estate experience extends from the beaches of the Jersey Shore to the bucolic farmland of western Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Growing up at the Shore and servicing clients there has provided her with a working knowledge of waterfront development, flood zone issues and riparian rights; owning a 9-acre working farm has educated her in state and local farmland and usage preservation. Karen loves central New Jersey and all it has to offer, but more than that, she loves the people. Meeting new people and helping them achieve their real estate goals gives her great satisfaction.

A former educator, Karen’s love of learning and teaching emanates in all aspects of her life. When not working with buyers and sellers, she can be found taking care of her farm animals, walking for a cure for breast cancer or learning something new.
