Karen also has 28 years of corporate background, so she is well versed in the “business” end of the deal. Karen feels it is important to be involved and she is a board member for the Hult Center for Healthy Living, a not-for-profit community resource for cancer patients, youth and senior programs and mental health. In 2015, Karen was honored to receive the Public Citizen of the Year award, IL West Central District of the National Association of Social Workers, which is given in recognition of working to enhance the lives of people in the community.
