I’m so glad to have Karen help me bought my first home 12 years ago. I would say my demand was a bit unusual. Didn’t have a lot of money, with my wife and two toddlers looking for a house and wanted a decent neighborhood and in San Francisco. Karen listen to me put together a decent set of houses for me to choose from. Not only my demand is difficult It was a complex purchase. The house was a short sale and the owner had two loans. If you want a fast, responsive and efficient, friendly, pressure free home buying experience I would highly recommend Karen Mai to you. I met Karen through my sister in law who bought a home a few months before me. My sis was very happy with Karen's friendly attitude, quick response and excellent knowledge with everything real estate. After meeting Karen the first time I knew I had to have her when I was ready to buy a home. Fast forward a few months later I needed to snatch a home I called Karen to see a couple of properties I was interested in. She was available the same day everytime any time! I was happy to shop home online and be able to call Karen to see it the same day. There was no hesitation everything was fast and efficient. So efficient in fact that when I finally found the home of my dreams we were almost able to close within 10 days! Unfortunately the seller lagged on their end which was a bummer otherwise this would have been the fastest home sold in history. We met Karen through renting a 1b1b condo in SF - she was the landlord's agent and was leasing the unit out on their behalf (as they're not based in the US).
Karen was super responsive with us, she also brought over contractors to fix things when they broke, and also gave us the freedom to fix urgent issues ASAP (when our dishwasher broke).

Karen took on the long difficult task of selling our family home in San Francisco. This took many months to complete because of Probate. Karen was patient and a real trooper. There was a lot of cleaning out of the house and delays that could not be controlled. Karen fulfilled every request from our attorney and helped out with service people when we couldn’t. She was always available by phone or text. I appreciate all she did for us. I recommend Karen if you want to sell your property quickly and for a fair price. We had several offers and Karen went over each one in detail so we could make a proper decision. There are so many more details to consider beyond the offer price. At the end of the transaction I believe everyone was pleased with the result.

Karen did a great job throughout the buying process of our home! As a first time home owner I didn’t know about a lot of things involved into the process but Karen made sure I understood and helped us make the better decisions. The house we purchased was the first house we had put an offer on and because Karen guided us with the estimate of the property, our offer was accepted and we got the house. From the beginning of the process to the closing on the house (about 20 days) she always stayed on top of things that made the 20 days closing possible. At last Karen bought us a home Warranty Plan for an year and we hope to benefit from it soon. Based on my experience, I highly recommend Karen for her service!

Karen Mai is an exceptional real estate agent that we would highly recommend to anyone in the market that is looking to buy or sell their home. She is professional, knowledgeable, ethical, hard working, and extremely patient.

We would like to share our experiences of her services with you. We’ve engaged Karen to help buy our 2nd home. While we got over-bid by the “all-cash” buyers on a home we were interested in, Karen found her way to talking to neighbors around that neighborhood. She miraculously found a home owner that was willing to sell his home. Through negotiation after negotiation for months, with lots of indecisiveness, rent back discussions, and legality questions from both parties, we finally closed on the transaction. It was Karen’s hard work and persistent effort that got us this 2nd home.

We are now in the market to buy again. The market has gone crazier than ever. This time we had wanted to buy in a neighborhood with excellent schools, so competition is fierce. We wrote offers after offers, with countless hours from Karen preparing disclosure packages for us to sign in Docusign. She was readily there for us every time, even when she was on vacation. She was prompt to showing us any property ahead of open house and in answering questions after questions. Despite all the effort, we found ourselves unsuccessful, so we got desperate. We decided to make a bid on a not so ideal home of our choice at a very high price with no contingencies. Ultimately our offer got accepted, but we felt bad instead of happy or excited. At that moment, we knew we made the wrong decision. Buyer’s remorse? Not sure, but we didn’t want to regret any further given it is a lot of money. We called Karen and explained the situation to her. She not only was patient with us, she understood and said she would try her best to help get our deposit back. She did exactly what she said…she worked with the seller’s agent and got our money back. A decision mistake made on our part that caused her to lose her commission, yet in turn she protected our financial loss. That is one amazing agent!

Karen was very patience (especially during the entire transaction) in explaining all the details of the selling process and market conditions. 1st property had tenants and city violations and 2nd property had notice of default, but Karen is a super realtor; she was able to manage and negotiate with Department of Public Health, Lenders and Buyers to get them done.
