She is a former Member of the: Fireside Writer's Group, Golden Valley Community Club, a Past President of the International Management Council, Officer with the American Business Women's Association, Trident Literacy Association, and member of the Greater Charleston SC Toastmasters.
Karen has written extensively about the area once known as Whitesides, maintains a community website: GoldenValleyNC.com, a Blog, a Facebook Community Page and publishes a monthly newsletter. She worked with area children, started a CyberKids Computer Club, and served Cub Scouts for 5 years. She runs a real estate website, blog, and then some. If you get the idea she's an achiever with a lot of interest in her community, if you think she must love what she does, well, you'd be right.
Karen wasn't born in Rutherford County, but she got here as quickly as she could. She's belonged to Rutherford County since 1990. She expects to spend the rest of her life here.
