About Karen

Karen Mitchell is a native Texan. She attended Texas A&M University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a minor in English. Karen then received a Master of Education degree from Lamar University. Karen began her career as a local high school English teacher before transitioning to a school librarian and then real estate agent. As an educator for over 20 years, Karen is very knowledgeable about local schools and the surrounding school districts.

Moving and selling two of her own houses within a six-month period inspired Karen’s passion for real estate. This passion, coupled with her knowledge, hard-working spirit, attention to detail, and organizational skills has allowed Karen to serve The Woodlands residents in the home buying/selling process. Karen takes great pride in being a real estate agent at Coldwell Banker United and providing exceptional service to all her clients.

When not helping home buyers/sellers, Karen spends her time with her husband, daughter, and two chihuahuas. Her family enjoys traveling and especially loves cruising! Karen also volunteers with her daughter in The Woodlands community through National Charity League.
