About Karen

Karen Schwartz began her real estate career in 2005, when she started working for one of the nation’s largest home builders immediately after college. She honed her skills selling new construction developments in the suburbs and in-fill areas of the city. This experience helped develop the expertise necessary to succeed and continue to be a great benefit to each of her clients to date. She went on to open her own real estate brokerage with her business partner and friend, and 2 years later folded the brokerage into Dream Town Realty.

Karen treats her clients with respect and empathy while listening to their needs and wants and helping them manage their expectations. She understands that setting proper expectation is a need of every client, and she strives to always and continuously exceed those expectations. Karen excels at planning, organization, and problem solving, which affords her clients a stress-free experience. Having experienced the market at its best and worst, Karen is able to navigate the many difficulties that can occur in a real estate transaction. Buying or selling a home is an important decision, and Karen aims to provide excellent service and an exceptional real estate experience. Her dedication to her clients has earned her significant recognition in her professional sphere.

A native of Sugar Grove, Illinois, Karen earned her bachelor’s degree at University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and her MBA from DePaul University’s Kellstadt Business School. She has lived in the downtown area since 2005, and she puts a priority on gaining expertise in the cities and suburbs’ diverse markets by doing quick, thorough research into the neighborhood’s schools, transportation, nightlife, and other features that make each neighborhood and area special to her clients. This conscientious approach to her business allows her clients to know they’re getting the best possible advocate for their sale or purchase in any part of the Chicago area.
