Karen Smith

Karen started her real estate career in 1980 in New Jersey. In 1985, she relocated to St. Louis, Missouri and worked for a small local brokerage until 1993. In 1993, she started working for Colwell Banker in St. Louis. In 1997, she decided to move back to her hometown of San Jose, California. For the past 5 years, she has been a top producer at the San Jose Main office.

Her professional philosophy is simple: do the right thing! Her partner and I live by this philosophy which has brought them much repeat business and some wonderful friends.

Karen grew up in Willow Glen and attended San Jose State University where she obtained a bachelor's degree in English followed by a secondary teaching credential. She married, moved to St. Louis where she taught high school for three years in an inner city school which turned out to be a wonderful experience. When they moved to New Jersey she went into real estate and has been in real estate since 1980 in three different states. After her divorce, she decided to move back to her home state of California where she has been happily selling real estate since 1999.
