About Karen
Some people are very casual when it comes to signing papers that affect their finances for decades. But for those who recognize that small steps early in the game can affect major outcomes later, it's fortunate that there are professionals who dedicate themselves to learning about the process and local market conditions, and who can turn a nightmare of stress and confusion into a relatively painless experience (let's be honest).
Karen is a native of the Keys. She was born and raised here in the beautiful Florida Keys by her father, the late Clyde Edward Williams (June 20, 2018), and her mother, Doris Jean Williams. A dedicated hardworking professional, Karen worked locally as a Restaurant Manager for 17 years with the same company, before retiring to be a full-time REALTOR® with Star Properties of the Florida Keys, now known as Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Destinations. Being a born and raised local, she uses her knowledge of the area to help her buyers and sellers make the best decision for them. Karen credits her father and her mother for her work ethic. “My father owned his own landscaping business, working long hours, and still found time to tease my mother, love on his family, and stand firm in his spiritual convictions. Rain or shine, he was on the job. He knew how to balance family time with his financial and spiritual responsibilities. My being the ultimate daddy’s girl, was a true testament to his ability to make sure that the family was taken care of, and felt loved. I hope I make him proud every day.” Karen is the mother of grown twin young men and takes great pride in her role as "mom". She and her husband Eric feel that family is the most important thing. When asked what was the favorite part of being a REALTOR®, Karen said "The greatest part about being a REALTOR® is helping my buyers and sellers. There is nothing better than helping someone sell their home or connecting buyers with the home they want. Both things signify moving forward, and it is a real blessing to be able to be a small part of that. My customers become like family to me. NOTHING better than that." She prides herself on turning her clients from customers to family. When she is not helping her clients buy or sell properties, Karen enjoys traveling, cooking, relaxing with a good self-development or business development book, having dinner with friends and/or family, watching movies, and writing. In addition to being a REALTOR®, Karen serves or has served, and MANY various Boards and Committees.
She is an educated professional with a few years of experience in this market, and she has seen almost every trick and turn of the industry already. She also has had intimate experience with properties in most of these neighborhoods, making her an invaluable person to talk to when it comes to relocation to or within this area. She is confident that she can save you not only tens of thousands of dollars but a great deal of time and emotional energy as well.
"But I'm not simply a piece of hardware you can point at a house," she says. "I'm a human who laughs and smiles, and I'll take the time to find out what you really need most from me as a professional real estate agent. If you would like to know anything about my services, or if you'd like to hear about the local market from a human voice, please contact me at your convenience."
