About Karen
Karen Wolfe is a native Brooklynite and a lifelong Park Slope resident, two things she proudly boasts about whenever given the opportunity! With a lifetime's knowledge of the borough's diverse and unique neighborhoods and the special qualities of each, Karen is an excellent resource for all things Brooklyn. Whether you are looking for the area that's the best fit for you, information on local schools and after-school programs, youth sports leagues, or where to find the best sushi in the neighborhood, Karen will point you in the right direction. Being an active and engaged community resident helps to make her a compassionate and personally involved agent for her clients.
When she and her husband bought their first home, Karen's passion for real estate ignited 20 years ago. Every house they saw brought some discovery - whether it was learning about an architectural style, seeing a new design aesthetic, or discovering a specific neighborhood's amenities and uniqueness - Karen was forever hooked! She loved the process of looking for her "forever home" and shares that same enthusiasm when working with her clients today, both buyers and sellers alike.
Karen came to real estate from a 20-year career in film production, working as a Line Producer on television commercials and producing projects worldwide. Karen always worked tirelessly and diligently to ensure that a director's vision came true and that the clients were happy with the outcome. Karen's honest and down-to-earth manner, calm demeanor, attention to detail, diligence, and astute negotiating skills set her apart in television and film production and what she now brings to her real estate career.
Karen is an active member of the local community, dedicating energy to the Parent Association at her son's local high school and her Block Association. She is a member of the Prospect Park Alliance, The Park Slope Civic Council, BAM, the Brooklyn Museum, and the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. When not at work, you'll likely find Karen cheering from the sidelines at her son's sporting events, walking in Prospect Park, taking a bike ride down to Coney Island, or dining at one of her favorite Brooklyn restaurants with friends and family. Karen lives in the South Slope with her husband and two teenage sons. During the summer, when she has the time, you'll find her on the beach in Sagaponack, NY, her second favorite place in the world, after Brooklyn, of course.
