About Karl

As a life-long native of Walhalla, my family has been serving the citizens of Oconee County for decades. My grandfather was the proprietor of a small business in Walhalla and my father has been in public service for over 40 years. I graduated from Walhalla High School in 1998, received an Associate in Arts from Tri-County Technical College in 2003, and my bachelor's degree from Clemson University in 2004. After college, I was a teacher/coach at Seneca High School from 2004 to 2020. During this time, I taught a variety of subjects including Economics, History, Psychology, & Geography. I also served as Assistant Athletic Director & Head Girl's Track Coach and was fortunate enough to lead my teams to multiple Region & State Championships.

I am married to my wonderful wife Christina and have two boys Eli (15) & Ethan (5).

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring the great outdoors with my wife and boys, fishing, or working in the yard.
