Katherine Sheckells

A native Washingtonian, Kate was born and raised off Massachusetts Avenue in Bethesda, and her family goes back generations in Maryland.

Kate offers intimate knowledge of neighborhoods, schools, and the history of the community. She has been a practicing real estate agent since 2004. Before that, she worked in politics for 15 years, including the White House, the Democratic National Committee, and statewide elections. She likes politics but believes there is nothing more rewarding than assisting people who are in the midst of the hugely important and complicated process of buying and selling real estate.

A proud graduate of Bethesda public schools, she attended Wood Acres Elementary, Walt Whitman High School and Mount Saint Mary’s College in Maryland. Kate currently lives in Chevy Chase with her husband Paul their sons Teddy and Charlie.
