Before becoming a real estate agent, Kate worked as an admissions and marketing director for skilled nursing home facilities, and as such has developed a great understanding of how to help keep your stress level low and make the process of moving as fun and pleasurable as possible. Kate began her career in real estate after relocating to the Ann Arbor area for her spouse's career. She instantly found a great bond with Julie Picknell, who worked as her agent during their move. Julie saw something special in Kate and told her, "When you're settled in, you're going to come work with me." The rest, as they say, is history, and Kate joined The Picknell Team over 5 years ago.
Kate can offer a unique perspective for her buyers and seller as someone who has moved to the area and grown her roots. She has become an expert in guiding local residential home sales, investment properties, new construction sales, and relocation services from across the country. As a graduate of Ninja training, Kate believes you should always have an agent who you like and trust; someone who will ask questions continually so you always feel informed and clear on any steps along the way. As a mother of three kids, Kate is very involved with her community and children's schools. She has served as various roles on the Milan Children's Preschool board, and currently serves as President of the Pleasant Ridge PTA in Saline. She enjoys running half marathons, Ragnar Relay races, traveling, reading, golfing, and you can often find her on the sidelines of the soccer fields, along a cross-country race route, or listening to her kids play music.
