Kathy Young epitomizes dedication, hard work, and loyalty.
A true local, I was born and raised in Prior Lake. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Disorders from St. Cloud State University, and then went on to acquire my Master's Degree in Audiology from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh. I reside in Shakopee with my beloved husband and two children. My family has a love for sports- baseball, hockey, soccer, and swimming. In my downtime, you will be sure to find me socializing with friends or supporting my kids at their events.
Giving back to others is a passion of mine. I am actively involved in Polkadot Powerhouse, a women's networking group who fundraises for local organizations including CAP, Shelter for Battered Women, and Toys for Tots. With a zest for traveling, I proudly participated in two mission trips with the Starkey Foundation distributing hearing aids to people in need.
With my extensive education and excellent communication skills, I am personable and skilled to handle negotiating to achieve client's goals. I have always desired to be immersed in the real estate market and have had extensive exposure to the industry with my husband's 20+ years in residential housing. I had a life changing medical event in the Fall of 2016 which encouraged me to pursue the new career path of being a licensed Realtor. With such an immense respect for life, I understand that buying or selling a home is more than just a transaction: it's a life-changing experience. That is why I am dedicated to providing exceptional, personalized service for all of my clients. I take great pride in the relationships I build and will always work relentlessly on the client's behalf to help them achieve their real estate goals.
