About Kathleen

Kathleen is a multi-generation Colorado native whose roots in Vail date to the 1960’s. Spending weekends and holidays at her family’s Vail home, she is one of a handful of valley real estate pros who’s personally seen the incredible transformation from a small mountain ski community to a world-class resort and vibrant year-round community.

Following a successful 20+ year career in corporate and transactional law, in the early 2000’s, Kathleen traded in her city life for a new full-time career in real estate and a quality of life she treasures in a valley she loves. And the success she realized in her legal career has repeated itself in her brokerage role at Slifer Smith & Frampton.

Kathleen’s professional and personal background offers her clients a distinctive blend of executive professionalism, insider’s knowledge of the market, community culture and incomparable service…a winning combination from a true Vail local.

The words “connected” and “committed” best describe Kathleen’s deep roots in the community. She currently serves on the boards of Bravo! Vail, and the Lake Creek Metro District. Over the past several years, she has served twice as the chair of the Bravo! Vail board, chair of the Women’s Foundation of Colorado, and on several higher education boards, most recently on the Board of Trustees of Colorado Mesa University. She is a trained mediator and was a participant in the Negotiation Project at Harvard Law School.

In the person-to-person business of real estate, Kathleen has been recognized by her peers with several awards including the Eagle Award (for top producing brokers), Standards of Excellence Award, Customer Service Award, Perseverance Award, Mentor Award and Community Service Award

Kathleen and her husband, the valley’s long time and beloved physician, Dr. Jack Eck, live in the Lake Creek Valley.
