New York City native Kathleen Kalmes guides clients to success with her unparalleled financial acumen and a deeply empathetic approach. A long career in financial services means she is highly adept at understanding both her clients' financial positions as well as their buildings' financial statements. Kathleen is also an excellent listener, able to hear what her clients are trying to communicate even when they have difficulty expressing their exact needs. An outstanding resource and devoted advocate for buyers and sellers throughout the city, Kathleen has a special fondness for prewar apartments.
Kathleen earned an MBA in Finance from New York University's Stern School of Business and received her Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation while working as a securities analyst/portfolio manager. More recently, she has also spent more than a decade creating and teaching financial literacy programs in partnership with the New York Public Library, the Financial Planning Association of Metro New York, the Community Service Society of New York, and others.
Kathleen has spent nearly all her adult life in Manhattan. She simply loves the city and takes great pride in helping others who choose to make it their home. An intrepid adventurer at heart, Kathleen likes to travel and explore locales both near and far. She is an avid hiker and kayaker, even along our city's great waterways.
