About Kathleen

A graduate of Loyola University hailing from Chicago, Illinois, Kathy Oldfather made her way to the Big Island in 1978, following a sailing trip down the coast of California on a ‘96 schooner.

Kathy taught nursing at the University of Hawaii-Hilo campus before finding her calling as a real estate professional in 1980. While raising three children, she established herself as one of East Hawaii’s most prominent residential brokers. A community-minded individual, she has been a member of the Hawaii County Medical Alliance, American Association of University Women, the Filipino, Portuguese and Hawaii Island Chambers of Commerce, and a member of the United States Tennis Association. She also enjoys golfing whenever she can find the time. As a multi-million dollar sales producer, Kathy has received numerous awards, including the coveted President’s Circle award from the Prudential network and Hawaii Tribune Herald’s People’s Choice Award for Best Realtor.
