Kathleen Sassan was born and raised in Mt. Prospect, Illinois and has remained in the Chicagoland area. She comes from a background of 25 successful years in Special Education and brings skill learned in her role as an educator to bear when working with her real estate clients. Nothing makes her happier than helping others.
As an individual with three college degrees, Kathleen embodies the definition of finding success through hard work and dedication. As both the recipient of a two year full ride athletic scholarship (softball) and then a two year full ride academic scholarship earned her undergraduate degree at the University of West Florida and earned a B.A., in Special Education- Emotional Handicaps/Learning Disabilities. She then earned her M.Ed., in English Education at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. This was then followed by a second graduate degree at Northern Illinois University in M.S. in Educational Administration. She is very intuitive, organized, witty, and as dedicated as they come. Kathleen’s expertise in the area of education, especially with regard to special needs give her unparalleled insight into understanding the unique needs of the individual allowing, in this case the client’s needs to lead the way, how to communicate and celebrate people of all different types in order to achieve success, being flexible and adapting as needed, providing a supportive role to guide clients, and a competitive nature that give her unique insight into how to bargain, protect clients, market properties, and find the best deal.
Kathleen Sassan has not just dedicated her life to helping people but as an advocate for those without a voice, animals. Kathleen is very active in the area of animal welfare which includes sponsoring an animal welfare club, working with local shelters to improve the condition of animals in the community, as well as rescuing two of her own dogs from a shelter.
Kathleen Sassan, the mother of two children, adds a personable touch to her real estate practice as it relates to transitioning to life as a single parent. She has an understanding of all that is involved far beyond financials as it relates to not just the process of selling a family home but the emotions involved with moving forward.
