Kathy is a very client centric, professional and results oriented agent. Through each transaction we have worked with her on, she has led each one seamlessly and went above and beyond each time to exceed our expectations.

In particular, we had a very challenging purchase of our most recent home due to a distressed developer and numerous issues with the new house they had just completed. Kathy worked tirelessly on our behalf for 8 months to navigate an arduous process that included negotiations with the distressed seller, bank, contractors and an unmotivated selling agent. She was professionally persistent on a daily and weekly basis, communicated effectively with us and with the other side, and ultimately drove the successful conclusion of our home purchase with terms that exceeded our expectations.

We did not envision how complex our most recent purchase would be, and we were extremely fortunate to have Kathy represent us throughout the process. Her tenacity to make progress and help us achieve our goal was refreshing, but the empathy and attention she showed to our family and kids stood out to us. Her personal touch and character helped us throughout the process and was very appreciated.

This is our second time working with Kathy. We chose to work with her again because we had such a good experience the first time and for the 5 years in between she did an amazing job at staying in touch through various events. This time, we sold our house and bought our forever home with Kathy's help. Buying a house in this crazy market was stressful to say the least, but Kathy was always there for us. She was very patient, knew us well enough to know when something wasn't right for us, and gave us perspective when needed. She was amazing with our children, was available when we needed her, and paid close attention to intricate details of our likes/dislikes. When I was looking for a home in Northeast Minneapolis, only one name came to mind, Kathy Borys. She knows Northeast like the back of her hand, being that she has decades of experience finding homes and selling them in the area. In fact, not surprisingly, she had been in the house that I ended up buying several years before with a client when it was up for sale. Kathy made my home-buying process flawless. She was professional, knowledgeable and absolutely great to work with. She’s also incredibly nice, yet not a push-over. Every recommendation she made to me was spot-on, whether it was the asking price or negotiating with the sellers after the inspection (I used her go-to inspector, who was very knowledgeable and thorough, by the way). Do yourself a favor and hire Kathy … you can thank me later.

Kathy was, in a word, amazing. I was buying my first home and doing a cross-country move during a pandemic, and the housing market was really moving quickly so the whole process was a bit overwhelming.

Kathy was able to find me a number of houses to view in the limited time I had to come and look at houses. It was a whirlwind trip - in on Sunday evening, viewing houses Monday and Tuesday, and having an offer accepted on Wednesday. She made herself available for me and she also made me feel like I was the only person she was working with.

I fell in love with a house that turned out to have a lot of expensive things pop up during the inspection and she negotiated a very advantageous settlement for me. When my lender caused the closing to be delayed, she negotiated for the lender to credit me at closing for the rent that the seller charged me because I ended up moving in a few days early. She's also kept track of the progress with the contractors, as the repairs are currently ongoing.

Looking back and writing about this, the whole process sounds a bit crazy but Kathy kept it from feeling crazy at the time. With all of the other things that I had to organize to move several states over, knowing that she was handling all of the details for the house made things feel so much more manageable. And I love my house!

Kathy listed our house at the very beginning of COVID 19. It was a learning experience for us and her. She did phenomenal. Our house sold within 48 hours with multiple offers. Offer fell through due to buyer financial difficulties due to COVID. House went back on market the next weekend and sold within 48 hours again and again with multiple offers. She is a fabulous realtor and had answers for any and all our questions. We were sad that we could only meet her the initial time but must say that all of the remote options kept us all safe and healthy and worked remarkably well! We hope our paths cross again one day. I could write this review in one sentence: Kathy is the best realtor in MN. But it would be no fun at all to stop there, so I'll elaborate. Kathy is the fourth realtor with whom we've worked and we went through three of those just trying to buy our first home. This past spring, friends across the street sold their house in a weekend for well over asking and that got us thinking about looking for house #2. I wasn't interested in any more trial and error with Realtors so I asked our friends who they used and they sang Kathy's praises.

Our house hunt/sell was a long process - almost six months - and Kathy basically held our hands from beginning to end. Before we were even settled on the idea of selling Kathy came over to take a look at our house and make recommendations for what to change if we wanted to sell, as well as her estimate on the listing price. On at least three occasions from that point on, I said the words, "we will do whatever you tell us to do." She's that good.

Any question we had, about literally anything having to do with a home, she knew the answer to/could send us more information on/had personal experience in. Everything.
And her answer usually started with, "I just went through this very same thing...". By the end, I even had friends texting me questions to ask her. That's how much we talked about how awesome she is. Kathy knows it all because she has done it all. I joked that I will forever be texting her all of my questions about house stuff. Also, that was not a joke and I will 100% be texting her all of my questions about house stuff forever.

I wish I could do a better job conveying how ridiculously amazing Kathy is. But I can't, so just call her so she can make everything about buying/selling a home better.

When I started my first flip, I knew I needed an experienced professional to help guide me through the many pitfalls and nightmares that can arise. Kathy's knowledge, professionalism and demeanor is what made me instantly attracted to her and Coldwell Banker. Everything she recommends will ultimately help you sell your home (our home sold within 2 days of going on the market). Kathy is an expert in her field. She is knowledgeable, trusting and a straight-shooter. Being first time house sellers, we had several questions and concerns. Kathy helped us sell a home as part of an estate process. It was a large undertaking and she made it as efficient as possible. Her knowledge of the market and advice about what to do to the house to make it more desirable were spot on. The house went on the market right before Thanksgiving and sold in 4 days. Kathy Borys, simply put, is incredibly wonderful. She was an absolutely fantastic realtor to work with. I am still uncertain of when she sleeps. It seems every time we needed a question answered, or had an idea, we would email her during all kinds of hours, and within minutes we would have a response. When you go on house showings with Kathy, she is very detailed, and knows exactly what to look for when purchasing a home. Things that my wife and I would never had thought of to look for. Even after we closed, when she was unhappy with something, she was still making sure that we were taken care of, and happy with our purchase.
