About Kathy

Born and raised in Southern California. Attended Palisades HS, Semester at Sea, and USC. Owned and operated the San Diego Volleyball Center and founded COAST Volleyball Club before moving to Mammoth.

Kathy moved to Mammoth in 2001 right after 9-11, looking to retire and work a little in real estate just to keep herself busy – get out of the rat race. However, what started as a part time career with Playground|Intrawest has led to a full time real estate career and business located in the Village at Mammoth. Kathy loves Mammoth and all it has to offer, from the skiing for which they are famous, to all the summer activities –there are endless possibilities as far as outdoor activities. Being in real estate has offered Kathy the opportunity to share Mammoth with clients, friends and family and see where they might fit into the community.

Kathy and her husband also own the Side Door Café in The Village, a great place to meet with friends and share a glass of wine and some great food.

Married 36 years to Shields Richardson, three grown daughters: Brooke (and her husband Ryan), Hillary, Sara and two granddaughters, Kenzie and Raegan Baumann.
