About Kathy

Originally a CH resident, I returned here after many years living in San Francisco. Working with you, a buyer or seller of Real Estate, means to me asking you a lot of questions and listening to what is important to you. Crafting an experience which involves the least number of surprises and the lowest stress for you is my primary goal. This includes making sure you really do know how North Carolina RE practices and procedures work at this point in time, what the very local market is actually like at this moment, referring you to trusted professionals along the way such as lenders, attorneys, repair people and so on. No Realtor can control the market, a response from a seller or buyer on the other side of a transaction, every repair possibility, etc. But what we can do is educate you about how things work right here, right now and tell you everything you need to know to make good, informed decisions. And when we do it like that, we tend to have some fun in the process and you end up getting what you are looking for.

When I am listing a home, I believe in properly preparing that home, pricing it and and presenting it - the initial goal is for prospective buyers to be "caught" by it online first, which tends to bring more people in and the right buyer sees it. There is a lot involved in all of that but this is my job! When we have a contract I then move into a sort of active surveillance phase during which I am constantly vetting and checking on every aspect of the period between contract and closing.

When I am working with buyers, we do start with a lot of conversation so I can understand what you are really looking for, as well as your bigger plan where that is relevant, as in the cases where you also have a home to sell and need to find ways to coordinate all of it. I really enjoy "the hunt" and feel very happy when we find and place under contract a home which you are going to be very happy with for as long as it serves you!
