About Katie
Combining personal integrity, client service, and an efficient approach to organizing and operating her business, Katie strives to make client satisfaction her primary goal, knowing success will ensue!
Passionate about helping people, Katie believes that by being knowledgeable in many areas of the real estate industry, she can help her clients make the best decisions when it comes to buying/selling a home, expanding their current one or even staying put.
Katie has worked in the real estate industry since January of 2004 and was formerly with Prudential California Realty. Before her career in real estate, she worked in advertising for the San Diego Business Journal doing advertising sales and also worked for Red Bull during its initial launch into the United States market.
Katie is the youngest of six children to Sweetie and Judy Howlett. Her late father Sweetie was hugely involved in the Norfolk community, working for over 20 years in the Norfolk School system and as a basketball coach at Norfolk Collegiate, Norfolk Catholic and Maury High Schools. Upon graduating from James Madison University, Katie moved to San Diego, California. While out on the West Coast, she traveled, learned about many new cultures and begun her a career in the real estate industry. Although the West Coast had an abundance of opportunities to offer, Hampton Roads never lost its influence on her as she found herself homesick for the comforts and the excitement of the area.
Katie’s hobbies include traveling, fund raising, skiing, and making new friends. Katie sits on the board of The Sweetie Howlett Memorial Scholarship foundation, a foundation that raises money in her dads honor to give as scholarships to Maury athletes going on to four year universities.
