About Katrin
If you are looking for a realtor with extensive knowledge of the Midland area, you need to look no further than Katrin Thorson. A native of Midland, Katrin graduated from Midland High School and after earning her Bachelor of Arts from Albion College returned to Midland to pursue an MBA at Central Michigan University and put her communications and teaching skills to work first in the Customer Service Center at Dow Chemical, and later in the non-profit finance arena.
With a background including communications, finance, teaching, and customer service experience, Katrin has a diverse skill set to draw on when assisting her clients. She and her husband Eric have three children and are acquainted with nearly every aspect of the Midland Community. Over the past two decades their family has been actively involved with the Midland Soccer Club, Midland Amateur Hockey League, Fraternal Northwest Little League, Midland Lacrosse League, Siebert Elementary PTO, Jefferson Middle School Parent Action Committee, Midland Community Center, Midland Community Tennis Center, Midland Dolphins, Girls on the Run, Grace A. Dow Memorial Library, First United Methodist Church, and countless other community organizations.
Katrin believes that successful real estate transactions are the result of clear and open communication, integrity, and attention to detail. While she embraces technology as a tool to help her market listings, communicate, and seek out opportunities for her clients, she also believes that there is no substitute for hard work and old-fashioned top-notch customer service. Katrin's clients can count on her to listen to their needs, expectations, questions, and concerns and then respond quickly, putting her background and knowledge to use in seeking out the best possible options.
As a Dow High Charger Parent and Midland High Chemic Alum she may not know which side to sit on during the Midland/Dow game, but Katrin knows the Midland community well and enjoys helping her clients make Midland "Home."
