About Kay

Kay Harris Turner is a long-time resident of Myrtle Beach with a love of the Grand Strand. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree from Charleston Southern, she made Myrtle Beach her home and raised her family here. Her career was hospitality, and she managed the Breakers Resort, a 600-room oceanfront resort for many years, which was built by Dargan Construction.

Kay’s commitment to community service as a Board member of the Hospitality Association, Board member of the Entertainment Committee of the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce and her many years of service to the Grand Strand earned her the second highest award from the Governor for community and customer service skills, “The Order of the Silver Crescent.”
