Born and raised in Northern California, Kelly Broussard moved to Texas to study business at the University of Houston and never looked back. In 2011, after a successful career in PR and marketing, Kelly took the skills she acquired in that business and made the move to the real estate world. . . and her clients love her for it.
It was during her years working in PR that Kelly sharpened her communication skills, got really good at negotiating, and became an expert at tackling several projects at once. Her clients ranged from politicians, where she sat on the committee for a state representative and managed marketing and web development, to LSU where she handled marketing for their career services department, and lots of other people and businesses in between. Kelly’s experience combined with her organization skills (enviable), whip-smart knowledge of Houston neighborhoods (she’s got her finger on the pulse of every street), and creative marketing techniques for her listings (think, magazines and newspapers) help her stand out in the industry.
When asked why she loves this job, Kelly says, “I love working with people, I love that every deal is different, and I love being innovative in marketing my properties.”
While she loves real estate, Kelly also genuinely loves volunteering. She is an active member of the Junior League of Houston, has chaired numerous non-profits, including March of Dimes, and was even a World Series committee member. (We could keep going, but we’d run out of internet.) When she’s not helping clients, Kelly can be found eating dinner with her husband at Backstreet Café(the waiters know her by name), laughing at her dogs at Buffalo Bayou Dog Park, or hosting parties in their Timbergrove home.
Fun Fact: Kelly was a competitive cheerleader for 15 years and even won a high kicking competition. No, she does not kick at closings, but would consider it upon request.
