I literally happened upon Kendra as an agent before I was totally ready to sell - but her approach of not over-selling me, ultimately sold me on having her as my agent. I was one of those sellers that did lots of my own homework/comp visits etc - and even then she not only presented impressive proposed pricing but also alternative overall strategies for selling my home. The result - a sales price well beyond my hopes, but better yet - one where I know I will look back 5-10-20 years from now knowing I got the best price I possibly could. A great result! Heather Allard and Joni Moriarty are real gems. I've closed on three homes in almost as many months (ahem...*brushes dirt off shoulder*) and I normally don't use a buyer's agent. But when I do, they're the first I call. They're fun to work with, our interactions are super fun and lighthearted and it's nice to know they can buckle down when we really need to do that business stuff. Richard Buchanan helped me getting my dream home in Seattle! It was my first time buying a property in the States and was clueless from the very beginning. Rich gave me tremendous amount of help during the entire process, from choosing the right location, to finding the perfect home. Richard has always been so informative and honest. And on top of my cluelessness about home buying, I work for the airlines, which requires me to travel all the time, and this makes buying home even more difficult. But Richard was so flexible and patient with me, even when my flight got delayed or cancelled. During the month of closing, I had to be in China for a whole month for work, Richard was on top of everything and made sure the closing process goes on time on schedule. The agent that helped me and my wife into our home was Karl Royston. When we first met up with him, we told him that we were very unlikely to put in an offer after only one day of looking. He was very low pressure and told us to take our time. He gave us insight into the neighborhoods, the commute, etc as we took a look around. We walked away from day one with two promising candidates and no timetable for a decision to make an offer. Hours later, my wife and I decided to make an offer despite only one day of looking. Karl got the offer filled out and ready for us that very night. He was also key to negotiations during the inspection period. Being a retired naval officer, Karl was very knowledgeable in the WA military community as well as military loans. Kendra was amazing to work with while finding our first home. She and her team were incredibly responsive and on top of everything. If it weren't for her persistence and attention to detail, we never would have closed on time. With an abundance of websites providing information on houses on the market, we didn't necessarily expect our agent to find some secret house that nobody knew about. I worked with Kendra to sell my Seattle-area townhouse and she exceeded all expectations. I had previously moved out of the * Attention to detail - Kendra took care of all aspects of the sale, going above and beyond what we expected. For example, she helped collect the keys from my current tenants, took pictures of the interior after the tenants left to share them with me, and took care of scheduling a carpet cleaner for an area that needed help. Given we were remote at the time, it was a huge relief to have all of this taken care of. * Communication - Kendra had excellent communication skills and was did a outstanding job of walking us through the sale process end to end. This includes simple things like answering questions to the listing contact to reviewing details on the differences between the multiple offers we received. * Responsiveness - Kendra would personally answer most phone and e-mails with near real time response time. I never had to ask Kendra for a status update on anything, she also proactively reached out to us. At the same time it didn't feel at all over-communicative. It's hard to find much that could have been improved, the thing that stands out is that the initial numbers for listing price (prior to have visited the property) were a bit higher (~6%). I think she probably could have been more conservative in her initial estimate, but overall we were happy with the final sale price and got multiple offers on the house. My brokers, Heather Allard & Joni Moriarty were absolutely one (two?) of a kind. I almost wish I could to afford another place right now just so I could spend more time with those two!!! All kidding aside, Joni & Heather made it very clear from the start that I was in charge and let me lead while providing a lot of really helpful guidance along the way. I never once felt any pressure and actually appreciated it when they brought me back down to earth when I thought I could afford something that was well out of my price range. First, a little bit about myself - I am a young professional working in the tech consulting industry. In 2014 I relocated to the Seattle area from New York. Because of the travel required for my job, I did not have a permanent residence. Towards the latter part of 2014, I switched my lifestyle and decided to purchase a home in the Seattle area as a first time buyer. In the short-term it would become my primary residence; long-term it would potentially turn into an investment property. I started working with Patrik in October 2014. At the time Patrik was an agent showing a Zillow listing. When I found the first home to be unsatisfactory, Patrik gave me access to the NWMLS portal which had a more comprehensive set of listing that he had access to showing. I can't say that the entire home-buying process was completely smooth, but Patrik was an extremely patient agent who worked though all the obstacles with me and remained positive throughout the process. What I appreciated the most was Patrik's speed of communication and knowledge of the Seattle area. He was very responsive by phone and knew the Seattle area well enough to make recommendations on homes I would be interested in as, as well as potential speed of sales (he was spot on about when a hot home would be purchased fast) and amount of offers a home might get (so that I had a good idea of what range of offer I should be making). Overall I had an enjoyable experience working with Patrik. My recommendation to potential buyers is - a real estate agent can only do so much for you. Make sure you do your research and have a good idea of the 5 must-haves you want in a home. Narrow down the list from there, and move fast once you find a place you like. I had been renting for years, but the landlord out of nowhere sold the home and the new owners wanted to live in the property. Needless to say I was given a notice to vacate within 20 days.. I started a search for rentals in the area but I guess being this time of year (Nov-Dec) there was not much available and what was available was priced ridiculously.. I decide to open the search for home buying as well that's when I met an employee of the Kendra group. Karl was extremely helpful he knew the situation, and he put my needs first. We saw numerous homes online on the computer and some did a few walkthroughs. We worked with Rich Buchanan to purchase our first home. We were originally looking at houses in the Puyallup area, but ended up changing our minds and deciding to continue renting. Then, six months later, we saw a house for sale in Tacoma that we couldn't live without, so we immediately contacted Rich. Even though he hadn't heard a peep from us in half a year, he still remembered us and responded almost instantly, getting us in to look at the house the next day and then having an offer prepared that very evening. Communication was always excellent, and he was willing to meet up with us at all times, even early mornings on the weekends.
