About Kenneth
As an “original” Portlander, Ken’s love and knowledge of our fair city’s neighborhoods and history doesn’t get much deeper.
Ken’s real estate career began in the property management industry, where he learned the ins and outs of commercial property management and developed a taste for Tenant Improvements. At the urging of a trusted friend to consider selling real estate, Ken (nearly reluctantly) made the switch to residential real estate and was rewarded with a career he never thought possible. It’s a career that is so rewarding on many levels for Ken who has never considered himself a “salesman”. “I feel so much joy acting as a trusted advisor for my clients, and the opportunity to do a deep dive into real estate gives me immense gratification, I love being real estate smart ”.
Ken believes he provides the most value to his clients as a real estate broker by analyzing their investment and lifestyle goals to create the best possible outcome. “I am a significant part of one of the biggest decisions and monetary investments people make. It’s a responsibility I don’t take lightly.”
After a decade in the residential real estate industry, Ken’s only regret is that he didn’t start doing this 20 years sooner.
In 2017 Ken and his family purchased a home with an ADU and his mother now lives with him and his wife, Suzanne. “I know there are plenty of ADU specialists but if you’re considering living in a multi-generational situation, I would encourage you to seek help from someone who lives it every day. I can tell you several things that most people have no idea about.” This area of interest led Ken on a 2-year real estate journey that combined his talents with a
developer who focused on “middle housing”. That experience framed his knowledge of both the actual construction process and what can be built on specific sites.
When Ken’s not involved in brokering real estate, he’s usually doing some kind of endurance sport. A multi-time Ironman finisher and a long-time triathlon coach and trainer, Ken likes staying active. His latest interest is teaching himself to golf. Ken’s ultimate happy place, however, is with his wife and his son, Alex.
Let Ken’s vast experience and knowledge help you create your perfect village.
