Kerry Moncla

I was born and raised in Beaumont, TX graduating from West Brook Senior High School in 1994. I attended Texas A&M University from 1994-2001 where I received a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Atmospheric Sciences. I worked in many fascinating positions in the weather world including storm chasing (in graduate school) as an Atmospheric Scientist from 1997-2003. In late 2002 / early 2003 I began taking real estate classes in the evenings while working as an air dispersion modeler in Houston, TX in order to obtain my real estate license. In January 2004, I pushed all my chips into the middle of the table and quit my job and jumped into real estate as a full time agent and have never looked back (not an easy thing to do when you are starting from scratch in a commission only business). My first year I received the Rookie of the Year Award for the top producing rookie agent in the entire Houston Region which was quite an honor while working at Prudential Gary Greene's Garden Oaks Office. In July 2007 I moved back to my hometown of Beaumont and Joined the Taryn Hebert Team at RE/MAX BEAUMONT (Now named RE/MAX ONE) and worked on the team until breaking out on my own as a top producing RE/MAX ONE agent in 2012.

I have won many awards over my real estate career (all listed below in “Certifications / Awards / Achievements”. Several need some explaining including the 2011, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 Five Star Real Estate Award which was handed out to the top 2% of all real estate agents for the entire Houston Region and all surrounding areas which included a write up in Texas Monthly Magazine each of those years as an award recipient. In 2016 I won both the RE/MAX Lifetime Hall of Fame Award (career level award given to those who have worked with RE/MAX a certain number of years and have achieved a very high sales production level) as well as the RE/MAX Platinum Club Award (yearly award given based on sales production level for the particular calendar year given). I have won the RE/MAX 100% Club Award (also yearly production level award) in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.

As far as state rankings, I was #9 in the entire state of Texas Vanguard Division in the 2nd quarter of 2014 and reached #254 in the entire state in 2014. I was #7 in the entire state of Texas Vanguard Division in the 3rd Qtr 2015 and was reached #206 in the entire state of Texas for all RE/MAX agents. I was recently ranked #17 in the 2nd Qtr 2017 and #4 in the 4th Qtr 2017 for the entire state of Texas Vanguard Division.

Also in 2014 I won the 40 under 40 Award given out by the Beaumont Chamber of Commerce as one of the top 40 professionals under the age of 40 in the Southeast Texas region. I was most recently voted one of the “Best Real Estate Agents” in Texas by Realtrends earlier in 2017.

I currently hold the Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR) certification, the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) certification and the Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) certification and I am more than half way to completing the very prestigious and extremely difficult to achieve Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designations that less than 10% of all commercial agents nationwide have acquired. I will be beginning my Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) certification later this year as well.

As for my family life in 2002 I married my wife Gail whom I met in 1996 at Texas A&M. We have two amazing children, Kaily (age 10) and Luke (age 8). Any free time I have is spent with my family. We strongly believe in reducing the electronic time and going old fashioned. We love the outdoors, especially camping whether by a lake, river or other body of water, kayaking and especially spending time at the beach. I personally enjoy golfing (especially with Luke), surfing, volunteering in the community and reading books when time allows (i.e. when I’m not attending kid’s functions such as soccer games, piano and violin concerts, boy scout events and tennis games).
