My family and I were stuck overseas during the pandemic while trying to make our return to the DMV for nearly two years. His council and expertise was invaluable in helping me put together a competitive offer that beat out several other offers and allowed me to secure the purchase of my dream home.

I reached out to Kevin and within hours he responded and we had our first initial conversation. That was the start of an outstanding relationship that ultimately lead to the selling of our home. Kevin came in fully prepared with a complete market study of our house and great comps. He fully shared every detail of the process and how he works and what he would do to sell our home at the right price and quickly. He spent hours with us during that first meeting and made a number of recommendations to present our home in the best way possible. We listened carefully and decided to do them all. He connected us with great connections that could do the work from carpets, to painting to some handyman work. If he did not know someone, he found them. He then did an entire marketing campaign that I believe sets Kevin far apart from the rest of the agents in Montgomery county and that is his social media campaign. He worked hard to market our home and do a "coming soon". He and his team were ready for the open house and they had a constant flow of potential buyers that ultimately lead to our home being off the market within a week. From the moment the offer came through to closing he paid attention to every detail and was in constant touch with us. I always felt like I was his only client, but I know that was far from the truth because he is serving everyone in the same way. Once we started thinking about moving to a new house in the DMV area, we started looking at online listings. Combined with anxiety over the life changes that moving would entail and the crazy home prices in the past year, we were overwhelmed. Our first find was an "as is" home. We are repeat clients of Kevin, having previously bought our home earlier this year through him. We had a wonderful experience working him then and decided to also work with him to sell our previous house. Just as he helped us navigate the bullish market while buying our new home, he effortlessly helped us sell our house when the market turned bearish in Spring 2022. He helped us remodel the house to bring it up to current standards. He and his associates, Lidia and Loraine, arranged for and coordinated the remodeling crews to work on painting, flooring, carpeting, kitchen, etc. The remodeling breathed a new life into our dated home. We signed up for the Concierge program with Compass that allowed us to take a line of credit, covering all the remodeling costs, which we paid off at closing of the house -- nothing out of pocket whatsoever. Logistically and financially speaking, we could have never managed to get all that done ourselves. His astute judgement on choosing the style, the extent of renovation, and the asking price point for the house was right on the money. Needless to mention our house was sold in a relatively short time frame without any price reduction, given the fact that the house was not in the most prime neighborhood. We had a buyer previously who flaked on us because they could not get approved for the mortgage. Kevin went above and beyond to advise the buyer on obtaining financing that would get them a home. In the end they were no-go, but we were thoroughly impressed by Kevin's diligence and persistence in the face of all the headwinds that came at us.

As an aside, we also wanted to take this opportunity to thank Chris Choi of 1RATE who provided a pleasant, swift, and hassle-free process of getting our mortgage and finances taken care of in buying a home earlier this year. Kevin and Chris are an amazing team, and they have together created some super helpful content on youtube on home buying, home upgrading, and market analyses. I started this process at the end of December 2021. Kevin Grolig and his team provided the expertise, resources and follow through needed to sell our property quickly, at a very competitive price. I met Kevin after inheriting my mother's house eight years ago. I brought him in to help me determine whether to rent or sell it. Long story short, his research helped me to decide to rent for the last 7 years. During that time the house appreciated $170K and earned another $170K. So, he indirectly is responsible for a significant windfall for my family.

Every year Kevin, in an easy going and professional way, reached out to me to see how things were going. This October, after learning my tenant was leaving, I called Kevin. He agreed to meet with me the next day to form a plan to sell the house. When selling a home, the most important person is your realtor and I won the Lotto having Kevin. In a matter of weeks, he coordinated the makeover of our property: entire interior repainted, new wood foyer and existing floors refinished, power washed exterior, and carpet, tile and plumbing repairs. A friend of mine hooked me up with Kevin and he reached out to me. We got together and discussed putting my condo on the market. I wanted to move to Frederick, MD to be close to family. I could not find anything suitable in Frederick so we decided to wait a little while. Then all of a sudden I found a great condo in Spring Ridge in July. Settlement for that condo was scheduled for September 2nd so I had to quickly sell my current place. Kevin and his team got to work setting up contractors and cleaners to get my place ready to show. He took pictures posted those on Facebook and sent out links to several other realtors. He and Lidia Archer, a wonderful, kind and easygoing person worked liked crazy to get my place sold. We sold at the end of August so I was able to make my closing in September. Kevin, Lidia and his team are wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell their home. They are very professional and walk you through step by step. Kevin Grolig is the best real estate agent in Montgomery County—hands down! He was our agent when we bought our property 15 years ago and there was no question of who we would hire to sell our property 15 years later. Kevin has such a deep knowledge of the real estate industry that he caught mistakes in paperwork that other agents and the title company made. But not only does he know this business like the back of his hand, he’s a great agent to work with! He made himself available to us throughout the entirety of the process and made us feel like the sale of our townhouse was just as important as one of the million-dollar properties he lists! But best of all, Kevin is an all-around good guy! We couldn’t be happier with the job he did selling our townhouse!

Although we didn't ultimately end up with that home, we were fortunate enough to begin working with Kevin to find our dream home. 8 years ago after having NINE offers fall through while trying to purchase our first home together, my husband and I started asking friends if they knew a good realtor. We interviewed a few contenders and ended up choosing Kevin. That experience taught us that having a realtor who was both knowledgeable AND connected in our area was crucial. Our next offer was accepted and we went to closing without a hitch.

Fast forward to this past March, when casual browsing led us to fall in love with a one-of-a-kind historic home *inconveniently* during the craziest competitive market we’ve ever seen. Because of the market and the fact we weren’t “ready” (ie house not sold, no pre-approval yet etc) we knew that buying our dream home in a weekend (offers were due by Monday!) would be a long shot. But we also knew that if anyone could pull it off it would be Kevin Grolig. We were not disappointed.

We sent him a message and heard back immediately. He swooped in like an old friend and somehow kept us laughing and enjoying the process as he took us from zero to 60 in just a few days. He worked his magic with his connections and expertise, leading us to write the winning offer and land the house of our dreams with terms we were comfortable with. Then, keeping him on to sell our other house produced more of the same good results.

Kevin helped us navigate the market from the other side; getting a price well beyond what we’d hoped for and negotiating away all those pesky contingencies. He handled all the hiccups and road blocks and got us to closing and beyond, and in the process has become a guy we consider a friend. Eight years ago we learned how valuable a realtor like Kevin is, and today we believe it would have been impossible without him

We contacted Kevin at the end of 2020 to inquire about selling our home and buying a new one. Kevin very quickly showed that his knowledge our area (Germantown) and the market was spot on, even while it was very quickly changing. He and his team were great about getting us ready to sell and helping us secure great pricing on work that should be done prior to selling. While finding a new home at the beginning of 2021 was tough (ask anyone trying to buy), they got us into countless homes and helped us to craft competitive contracts. With zero reservations, I'd recommend Kevin and his team to anyone looking to make a real estate transaction.

Kevin and his team were phenomenal in helping me sell my first house. They were so accommodating and responsive. I had another realtor lined up when Kevin gave me a call back and I could tell from our first conversation that he was the right “fit” for me. I immediately cancelled my other realtor. And I def made the right decision. Could not have been more pleased with him and his team and I don’t think there is ANY area that they could have done anything better. Although at the time it would be months before my property would go up for sale, Kevin took the time to talk me through the Compass process, from readying my place for sale through selling strategies to contract reviews to closing. My property needed sprucing up & "team Kevin" couldn't have made it easier...all *I* had to do was make informed decisions. Kevin, Lidia & Loraine are true professionals. We just sold our first house this week. The selling experience is smooth and Kevin and his team are fantastic. Right after I contacted Kevin, Kevin and Lidia quickly met up and provided suggestions on renovation before selling. Lidia quoted, coordinated with the contractors for me so I don’t need to worry a thing. The contract price is fair and the work is fast and of good quality. Kevin then suggested good timing to put the house on the market and held an open house for us. (I really apricate he held the open house during the pandemic time.) We ended up having 60+ visits and 7 offers over the weekend. The selling price was much more than we expected. The buyer had a few backs and forth during the contract and Kevin quickly communicated with us providing professional advice. Kevin’s 30+ professional experience plays an important role in a smooth transaction. His team, Lidia and Loraine, are fantastic! Kevin is my top and only one on my list if I ever need to look for a real estate agent for myself and recommend him to my friends and family.

We can't say enough about Kevin Grolig and his team at Compass. They were amazing! Kevin has now sold two properties for us. When a work opportunity necessitated a move in the middle of the holidays and in the middle of a pandemic it was no problem. He patiently walked us through all the steps to get us listed, on the market, under contract and sold. In addition we felt completely comfortable with all the current safety precautions in place as prospective buyers came through our property.
