Kevin grew up in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Chinese immigrant parents who ran a long-time neighborhood restaurant while steadily building a small real estate portfolio. His grandfather had a simple maxim: if you can buy it, do so — especially if it’s in your own neighborhood. His parents loved looking at houses, and that idea stayed with him.
He lived and studied in the United Kingdom, earning a Master’s in Diplomacy, International Law, and Economics from SOAS in London, and then moved to Berkeley for law school. He arrived in San Francisco twenty years ago, rented like everyone starting out, and now owns two homes in the city — including one that started as a garage-sale twist.
Kevin is an attorney-turned–top-producing agent who has helped buyers and sellers close more than $425 million in Bay Area homes. He works with buyers and sellers in nearly equal measure, which gives him a clear sense of what people hope for, what they worry about, and what actually moves the market.
