Real estate is her business. Kristal has been selling property in Colorado since 1984. Her experience ranges from single-family property, asset management for banks, and even some property management. Over the years she has pursued advanced real estate training, accumulating many hours in the classroom. The training has paid off, and because of it she has successfully represented hundreds of clients in the negotiation, marketing, selling, and purchasing of homes.
Along the way, her career has taken her from Colorado Springs to Denver. Not a far distance as the crow flies, but a huge move when one changes real estate markets. Kristal has been specializing in selling Denver real estate since 1997. When she moved to Denver, she created one of the very first real estate websites (looking back, wow it was UGLY!). This very site has undergone many transformations and will continue to do so if she controls it.
Kristal’s focus back in the 1990s as her focus is now to provide an informative site to home searchers who were wanting to know everything about the metro Denver area. Today as she adds content to the site, most of which is an answer to a question a client posed to her that day, or some other topic that is important to put out to the world.
Information and understanding are not the same things. Buying real estate is education. Kristal believes every person who buys or sells a house needs to know and is entitled to know what needs to happen during the process. Knowledge is power. She also likes to point out that just because there is so much information on the internet about real estate and homes for sale, having that information is different from understanding it. Consumers need to know much more than what inventory they have. So, while she is standing here on her soapbox, remember information and understanding are two different things.
Without going into much detail, Kristal must confess she is truly fortunate to have a nice husband and three terrific children. While they are grown and living on their own (raising her perfectly adorable grandchildren), she will always smile and be proud of her kids. They have done well and are good citizens who give her much pride and joy.
Kristal is passionate about several hobbies: including traveling, photography, and cycle-touring. In 2000, she combined the three and took a year off, cycling around the world (yes, you read that right!) while photographing the journey and recording it on a website (of course!). Along with 250 or so of her closest friends, visited forty-seven countries on six continents. It was a trip of a lifetime that changed the way she looks at the world and herself.
More recently, Kristal has become involved with photography. She runs the Front Range Photography Meetup where she organizes fun outings around Metro Denver and Colorado.
