Even though we seemed to have endless questions, Kristie was consistently transparent, honest, and patient with us throughout the entire process. We started our home journey with Kristie from California. She talked to us many times of the neighborhoods of the DMV area and patiently answered all of our questions. We then flew out to the northern Virginia area as she toured homes with us for two days in not only Virginia, but DC and Maryland as well. She was very professional and it felt as though we had a home inspector with us. Unfortunately, we couldn’t buy at the time because we were still waiting on the final word from my employer, so we had to wait. When we got word that we could move, we hit the homes again. Although, this time virtually with Kristies help. We ended up buying in Alexandria while we were in California. Kristie had took a tour in Alexandria with us on zoom. We were excited and terrified, NEVER would I imagine we’d close on a house without seeing it in person. But, we trusted kristie. It’s been 9 months since we’ve moved and we’ve never once regretted our decision, we love our home and owe her a huge thank you. If you need an honest realtor, she’s the one.

Truly the best. We’ve had five realtors over the years and combined they didn’t work as hard for us as Kristie. She represented us as buyers this year as we made a move from Texas to NOVA, and if we ever move back, we wouldn’t go to anyone else to list our house. In other markets we’ve lived in, we used the “best;” the realtors that have teams, sell high-end, advertise in the socialite magazines, and have strong name recognition. Those realtors simply did okay by us at best. Kristie got to know our family and was invested in our best interest. In the 2021-2022 housing market, when inventory was exceptionally low, our map was huge. We were all over the DMV area. She was patient with us, really beyond belief. For the first time working with a realtor, I lost count of the number of homes we looked at — I would guess 30. We made 9 offers in five cities before we succeeded. Never once did she pressure us to buy something. She was always looking out for us, and even on offer 8, said - I wouldn’t go above X. So many others would have tried to move us along, convince us to buy something and be on to the next client. We never felt this way. And this is nothing to say of her professionalism, competency, or knowledge of the market. I truly could not recommend someone else. We have told all our friends about her.

Despite this posting being one year late, it highlights the journey to our first year of homeownership.

Kristie was instrumental in helping us buy our forever home and we couldn’t have asked for a better realtor. Since we were nervous first-time homebuyers and out of our depth, Kristie became our lifeline and guided us through a challenging real estate market as buyers, and with her guidance and expertise, we were able to purchase a home destined to be ours. She was always proactive in getting leads, cold calling, always attentive and kept us updated on every relevant transaction. As a first-time homebuyer, Kristie provided us sage advice on how best to navigate this very competitive market, and have our offer accepted. There was not a point in the house hunting process that we felt rushed or steered just for her to close a deal. She was very thorough with explaining the pros/cons of every house we considered; she provided comparative market analysis; thoroughly and promptly answered all our questions. As a result, our second offer got accepted without waiving critical part of the house buying process (e.g., appraisal, inspections) and not offering significant amount above listed price —rare in this current market. Kristie and team helped me both buy my property when I moved to Alexandria and sell my property when I departed. I cannot say enough about the partnership, level of understanding of the market, honesty in offer suggestion with my buy, and market positioning with my sell. On top of all of that, I am proud to say that Kristie has also become a friend. She stayed connected to me from the time that I bought my home until this day, even though I am now located in Florida. Oh, and did I say that with the counsel from Kristie and proper positioning in the market, my home was listed at 8am and had two official offers by noon, and one other on the fence. I went with the offer that came in around 10am.

There are certain times in life when writing someone a review for their outstanding service seems like an absolute necessity; This is one of those times!

Kristie, from DCMDVA Homes, is one of the most patient and positive people my wife and I have ever worked with. She made our home buying experience the best it could have been, especially in such an unprecedented market. She is very knowledgeable, and used her expertise helped walk us through the finer points of home buying. She was also always transparent and always happy to jump on a call.

The market has been super competitive, and we had some pretty heartbreaking notifications of our offers not being accepted. Despite of all the offer refusals, Kristie never gave up and she would always say it wasn’t meant to be.

In the end, she was right. When we finally found the home we ended up purchasing, it was as if the stars had aligned, and we would finally get our home! Suddenly, at the last second we ran into a deal breaker and thought that home would be lost. We were definitely considering giving up at that point.

But, Kristie pulled through. Negotiations were made and we came to an agreement with the seller. We would finally be home owners, all because Kristie never lost hope, and wouldn’t let us lose hope either.

Now that we have begun to transform our new house into our home, we knew part of the process must be to thank the people that helped us get here, and Kristie is at the top of the list!

I can’t say enough about what Kristie and her team has done for me. I was living in Massachusetts when I had to find a house in the dmv area in less than 2 months. Since COVID didn’t allow me to leave my state to actually view listings in person, I had to rely on Kristie for everything including the house being In good condition, good area, close to a metro/work etc. She even went above and beyond the list I gave her. Not knowing the area and only me moving in the dmv area I really had to rely on Kristie. She never gave me bad advice. She would be upfront and honest about areas that she didn’t think would fit my list. When she would look at houses for me ( even if I gave her a 30 min notice of a house showing) she would FaceTime me and go room by room showing me every aspect, explaining everything to me and even crawling in tight spaces to tell me how old a hvac system or furnace was. She made the whole process easy even if I wasn’t able to be down there. Also, her communication with me was excellent. Always got back to me very quickly even if it was late. Even if she was extremely busy with work or her personal life, her attention to me and details were top notch. Being a Veteran, she knows everything about VA loans and made sure everything went smoothly and even got me some discounts.Not only would I recommend military personnel , I would recommend any person/family who is thinking about buying a house in the dmv area to not only consider, but to pick Kristie and her team to help you find the house of your dreams. I will be using Kristie and her team again for when I decide to sell and buy another house. 1000/10

Shopping for a home in COVID times can be challenging, even more so when you're doing it from thousands of miles away. My wife and I were fortunate enough to have been referred to Kristie and could not be more pleased with the result. Kristie showed us several properties virtually, and quickly, and was very good about disclosing things which were not easily discernible from the video feeds. She was frank about the potential issues/problems with each home we looked at and provided straightforward answers to all of our questions, regardless of whether it affected our interest in a particular home. Once we arrived at a property that we were interested in, she advised as to the best course of action to have our offer accepted and after the home was inspected, she provided sage advice as far as dealing with the particular issues identified by the inspector. During closing, there were several problems with the financing paperwork, good faith payment and having documents notarized and sent from thousands of miles away. Although this was not her job, Kristie was incredibly helpful in getting these issues resolved and bringing our home purchase to a successful conclusion. When we closed, I told Kristie that she was the "MVP" of the transaction and I truly meant it. She is by far the best RE Agent that I have ever dealt with.

Kristie has been beyond amazing during our experience buying a home. It was our first home and we had many questions. She breaks everything down and never makes you feel dumb for asking any questions.

The moment I knew that Kristie was truly amazing was when we went to see the first house and she helped me realize about comparable sales and home values. I was about to pay more than $30,000 over what fair market should have been based on the location. Now as an agent who makes a commission, not sure why she was so honest and helpful to me.

She really wants the best thing for the clients and is extremely patient.
