Growing up, I wanted to be a rock star. I took guitar, singing lessons, and practiced all the time. I didn’t want to be the center of attention or earn bragging rights for writing hit songs. I was quiet and shy. School talent shows were a way to express and connect. And, I always believed that songs are stories that can help define important people, places, and life's experiences. My career as a rock star never took off. Instead, I’ve focused my education, skills, and experience on the best ways to communicate my message and connect with people in meaningful and memorable ways throughout such an important part of their story.
This is my mantra, an anthem, really. Iconic author, Maya Angelou wrote, “I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
With purpose, I strive each day to have an impact and leave a lasting positive impression. When I consistently hear from clients, “Thank you for sharing so much detail and explaining things so well.” "We trust you with all of the details.” Or, “Best house sale ever!” It’s rewarding to know that how I work is associated with effective, meaningful results. Clients offer honest feedback and support often. I encourage new and prospective clients to read online reviews or contact past clients so they can share their experiences. I am humbled by this client support that has resulted in a uniquely high 95% referral rate from clients, agents, and brokers from across the U.S. and Internationally.
As a former military spouse, the relationships and connections I’ve made along the way still have the most positive influence on my own life. I understand and value the demands of living a life of service for active duty, retired military and Foreign Service, families. Such demands require expertise, guidance, and executing with honesty and integrity for the best results when selling, buying, and investing in real estate. I proudly help professionals, government officials, and military families find a home that is both suitable and meaningful so they can continue that home’s existing story…or start their own.
I am best known for connecting people to homes based on the unique stories of both. I have a Master’s Degree in Literature and have written for BUILDER, REMODELING, and OLD HOUSE JOURNAL magazines over the years. I’ve applied my education, skill, and experience to extract, compile, and relate critical details of home design, location, floor plan, and community. When those elements come together, clients are better informed so they can determine value and evaluate the best properties and communities for them.
