Kristy Sommers

Born and raised in Sarasota, Kristy Sommers is a Florida native through and through. Having worked in the real estate industry since 2011, she places integrity at the core of her business and focuses on the needs of her clients. She balances her extensive knowledge of the local market with an approach in real estate that includes listening to every one of her client’s concerns, creating a comfortable and professional home buying and selling experience.

Kristy has extensive, hands-on knowledge about the new home construction industry, as she and her husband, James, started their own construction business in 2004. Beyond her professional background, Kristy has three teenage children, Vanessa, Vance, and Vaughn. She finds it very rewarding to share her knowledge of schools to her clients, as she has children in both public and private schools. She knows the importance of getting her clients in the right school district, which is a significant factor in relocating for a buyer and a marketing tool for a seller.

Kristy’s life is rich with family, faith, and community. She is passionate about being an advocate for special needs children within the county school system, as one of her own children has disabilities. She is a big fan of The Ryan Callahan Foundation, whose non-profit organization brings an unforgettable hockey experience to children battling cancer. Kristy enjoys watching the Tampa Bay Lightning, volunteering with the youth at her church and cherishes her life journey with family and friends.
