LaNita is a wonderful agent. We hired LaNita based on her history of success and strong reviews – and she still managed to far exceed our expectations! Despite our home being in a less than desirable location, she was able to help us (painlessly!) sell our home in only a few weeks very close to the price we listed at. She really helped us negotiate from a position of strength. Then, when looking for our new home she offered valuable feedback regarding the layout, condition, and pricing of the homes we looked at and pointed out potential issues based on her extensive experience. It took several frustrating attempts before we found the right place, but she was fully committed to finding us a home we would be happy in rather than speeding the process along. LaNita was in constant communication with us throughout, readily available to answer our questions and guide us each step of the way – or even calm our frazzled nerves. She was always on top of everything. Her advice was instrumental when it came to negotiations, helping us get the house we most wanted without breaking our budget. LaNita knows the process inside and out; she’s smart, organized, and assertive in looking after your best interest. She operates with integrity, vitality and openness at all times. LOL! Reading the 1-star reviews was VERY entertaining (and not just because of all the misspelled words!) because you could tell the same person kept writing them. I met LaNita years ago at an open house and loved her instantly. She is so intelligent and strong and stands up for her clients. We looked at maybe 20 houses until we found the house we wanted. If you want to take the stress out of selling your house, hire LaNita Cates! She's great to work with and she doesn't sugar coat her thoughts. She is a professional but not a stuffy personality. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE LaNita and her entire team. Her lender (Melissa) and her attorney (Chantal) and her home inspector (Mike) were an awesome team and we couldn't be happier if we tried. We found LaNita online when we were searching for realtors and came across her and called her. We could feel her energy thru the phone and she quickly got us preapproved and two days later, we were out looking at houses! We viewed 6 houses on a Sunday and were at the home inspection two days later and 29 days after that, we closed on our new house in Joliet! We had a great experience with LaNita and would highly recommend her!

Although I haven't talked to LaNita in maybe a year, I still receive her postcards every month so when she asked me to give her a review last night, I jumped at the chance! LaNita is amazing and awesome and wonderful and you will NOT go wrong hiring her. We ran into a lot of issues with the sellers of the house we purchased. They were actually difficult right from the beginning when we viewed the house and they accused us of taking a bottle of water from the refrigerator which wasn't true! We still wrote an offer and it took a week to negotiate. LaNita thought they might be waiting for another offer but we hung in there and we ended up getting the house. The sellers wouldn't make any repairs and they were simply difficult to work with and LaNita kept our spirits up and kept reminding us "Not everyone is nice!" and we just hung in there. On the day of closing, the sellers were still there for our walk thru. LaNita told us to go to the closing and she stayed at the house to make sure everything was OK (it ended up being fine) and we closed on our house. We love LaNita to pieces and think she is awesome. She is professional but tough and that's what we like about her. Plus, she makes us laugh all the time! Thanks LaNita and I hope we can get together soon!

What can I say about LaNita? Nothing but good things without a doubt! Awesome, responsive, professional, fun, enthusiastic, energetic, smart, loyal and so much more. We used LaNita in fall, 2019 when a friend referred her to me to help us sell our house in Joliet. LaNita hired a professional photographer and the first day on the market, we had 3 showings and a full priced offer! Although we now live in Tennessee, I wouldn't hesitate calling her for advice and would definitely refer her to anyone looking for a great Realtor!

If I could give LaNita 1,000,000 stars, I would. We started working with LaNita 4-5 weeks ago and we couldn't be happier with her. She is dedicated, funny, and works very hard for her clients. We met LaNita at an open house maybe 3 years ago and loved her instantly. Her energy, her excitement and knowledge was amazing and we were immediately taken with her! We ended up scheduling an appointment with her the following day and she came out and looked at our townhouse. Four days later our home was listed and we received an offer about a week later. LaNita immediately took us out and we began our search. We were concerned that we wouldn't find what we wanted and LaNita made sure she negotiated a 45 day closing on our townhouse so we had a little wiggle room finding a home. We dragged LaNita to EIGHT different towns and changed our mind nonstop. If it had been me, I would have fired us! But she laughed (and gave us a very hard time about not being able to make decisions which was funny) and kept working with us and we found the PERFECT house and we love it. Since then we have referred LaNita to 4 other friends/family and they too love her. Thanks LaNita!!

LaNita Cates is by FAR, the best Realtor I have ever met. I have friends that have recently gotten their licenses and although I love them to pieces, LaNita is outstanding. I was referred to her years ago from a coworker after working with realtors that simply didn't know what they were doing. In came LaNita like dynamite! LOL! She rescued me and my husband and made us feel like "She's got this" and she did! I can't imagine calling another realtor for anything. Even today, years later, LaNita will reach out with her recipe cards and Christmas cards and I know I can call her at anytime and she will respond. She's never too busy to help her clients! LaNita helped me and my sister with buying investment properties and we ran her all over Will and DuPage County and she was amazing. She really knows her business and guided us so we didn't make any mistakes in purchasing. If you listen to her, she will give you great advice. If you think you know more than her....she's probably not the right agent! She doesn't like her time to be wasted so let her take the lead and you will get great houses! I couldn't say enough about LaNita Cates if I tried. She is patient, funny, and knows her industry extremely well. I read the ONE bad review out of all the other 5 stars....there is obviously something wrong with that ONE person because LaNita is awesome so I'm guessing that ONE person (whom I read wasn't even her buyer but just a tag-a-long person with an opinion?) doesn't know how busy professionals are and maybe she SHOULD stick to just buying shoes, and not a house:) LaNita is amazing and all of her reviews tell you that. A few years ago, I found LaNita Cates while google searching for a Realtor. She took a chance on a kid who knew NOTHING about purchasing a home and didn’t know where to even begin. Her work ethic is unmatched. LaNita took the time to explain the process and ensured we felt comfortable every step of the way. We closed 30 days later and were incredibly happy with our experience from LaNita.

Fast forward 5 years, I work in the community, I have FAMILY, FRIENDS, and CO-WORKERS who are now realtors. When it was time to list our home and look for a new one, there was only one person to call, LaNita Cates. LaNita demonstrated the same work ethic and unbelievable communication as we were listing/buying at the same time. LaNita quickly sold our home and found us our forever home.

My husband and I just bought our first home and thank goodness we had LaNita by our side every step of the way. She answers emails/texts/phone calls so promptly that you honestly never have to wait. LaNita knows her stuff - she provided guidance and feedback, but isn't pushy with what she thinks. On top of her professional qualities, she's just all around a great person and fun to be around. We just moved in and I hope we don't have to move again for a long time, but when we do, LaNita will be ther first person we contact.
