Born and raised in California, Lara relocated to Ninilchik, Ak, in 2002, by way of Alabama. She graduated from Alaska Pacific University, Magna Cum Laude, in 2014 with a Bachelor's in Business. She was the Kenai Peninsula Fair Manager for 14 years. As the fair manager, she wrote over 2 million dollars in grants for the fine and the community of Ninilchik. She is the past President of the Rotary Club of Soldotna and loves volunteering. “It’s our job to be the change we wish to see in our community.” She is a third-generation realtor. Her grandmother was one of the first women to get her real estate license in California. She retired at the age of 92. Her past real estate experience includes being a loan processor and funding coordinator. She specialized in VA, FHA, and first-time home buyer loans.
