Supporting a Black-owned business was important to us during our home buying process, and choosing Latoya Russaw, with Team Peterson-Jackson Real Estate Professionals, as our realtor was one of the best decisions we made. From the very first home showing all the way to closing, she was professional, knowledgeable, patient, and always available when we needed her. If she didn’t immediately have an answer to something, she made sure to find out and got back to us quickly. Her communication was excellent throughout the entire process.

As first-time home buyers, we had a lot of questions, but Latoya never once made us feel like we were a bother. She kept a positive attitude, explained things clearly, and made sure we felt comfortable every step of the way. She truly cares about her clients and it shows. She even bought us a nice keurig, a big candle, and a large-framed photo of us that said, "homeowners", in a gift basket at closing.

Five stars for my agent. Overall, it was fine

It was originally a one-star rating. They called. My main concern was the numerous hidden fees associated with the closing property. I checked and it was indeed the title company that was charging, so I changed the rating stars because. I felt that the agent's documentation was more important than showing the property. The overall process was quite fast. I just wanted to find investment property quickly, and I only saw four properties, which was completed within a week, so I felt I wasn't too difficult. The $37,300 property ultimately cost $42,748. There wasn't much of an experience at this price point; as a contractor myself, I know what kind of property to look at. Currently, renovating a property around $100,000 might be more cost-effective. Properties under $50,000 have too high costs.

I had the pleasure of working with Team Peterson Jackson on the purchase of my very first home and I couldn’t have made a better decision. Prior to coming to Team P.J. I had been looking for a house since last July and I had already gone through 2 other realtors. In this current market, I wasn’t sure if I was ever going to find a place within my range or standards, I had all but given up. The final straw for me was asking my prior realtor to negotiate on my behalf for a place I wanted and he refused by saying the sellers weren’t going to do it before even asking. So I finally reached out to the dream team. They had worked with several of my friends in the past and I heard nothing but good things. Both women are amazing individuals and Towanna wasted no time lining up some prospects and getting me scheduled for showings within a day or so of reaching out to them.

We looked at several houses and each time Towanna made it clear that if there were things I wasn’t satisfied with, they could negotiate on my behalf. The willingness to make sure I got what I wanted was something I had not experienced prior to coming to them. We looked at a few homes and ultimately settled on a beautiful Rosedale park colonial and again I ran into issues. The home inspection showed some minor things that needed to be done, and would you guess Team Peterson Jackson had someone for everything. They have a whole team of people literally. It’s like having an army behind you. They are able to connect you to lenders, inspectors, contractors, title companies, etc. They have a person for everything. And as a first time home buyer who doesn’t know your way around a lot of stuff having a team helps.

My seller and I came to a stand still at one point in regards to the backyard. I was contemplating walking away because I didn’t feel as if they were being fair. Team Peterson Jackson came through like I never expected. They made sure both the seller and I was satisfied placing themselves in the middle and making magic like only they can. I can not stress enough how satisfied and happy I am that I came to them. To be honest I know whole heartedly if I had started here it wouldn’t took nearly as long. We found a place and closed within 3 weeks and I’ve been looking since last July!

This can be a long waiting process with lenders, inspectors, appraisals etc but Towanna was available to me whenever I reached out rather it was a little question, a big question, or a nervous home buyer question. She never made me feel bad or discourage about any of my many questions and from my experience with the two others that’s rare but needed.

The smooth process and exceptional service that they provided was more than enough to ensure I will never need another realtor (I’m team Peterson Jackson for life!) but I’ll take it a step further and say they are putting on for the community and helping bridge the gaps to generation wealth one family at a time, I’ve experienced it. They really do this!

The office was beautiful I felt like royalty sitting in their office signing papers, and a they made sure i left feeling like a Queen. Would you believe at signing there were gifts 😍. Not gonna say what cause yours may not be the same, but they gave me gifts after helping me gift my family with the best gift in the world. How cool is that? And last but not least I had shared some personal stuff with both women about how hard I worked and how important this was for me and my son, as a single mother making this happen was not easy, and they heard every world I said! It wasn’t just head nods and good job hand shakes when I pulled up to my new home I had the biggest welcome I could ever had imagined. I grew up in foster care so having them welcome me and my son into our own home the way they did was so special. I am forever grateful for team Peterson Jackson and all they have done for me and my son! Don’t sleep on yourself get the right realtors the first time.

I highly recommend TEAM PETERSON-JACKSON for all your real-estate needs! They're professional, and they know their stuff!

Shortly after they listed my home, the home next door caught on fire and became an unsightly burnout. Then, the market slowed down due to rising interest rates. I was close to giving up, but they remained calm and promised me that they would get my home sold.

You know I like to let you all know that the experience that I had with Tawana and LaShawn was incredible. I want to try to keep this short and sweet. My wife and I, (Patricia), had decided to purchase a condo at the end of last year. We contacted our credit union and were approved for a loan. The agent we had was not moving fast enough for us. So Patricia is diligent as she is when it comes to research, ran across Tawana and LaShawn in her search. She reached out to them and lo and behold they reached right back within the hours. They asked what we were looking for, and with the minutes we had listings. I mean this Duo work quicker than Batman and Robin. I mean they were on the ball. We were out bid several times.
