I can't say enough good things about Laura Conklin! She was absolutely incredible throughout the entire process of selling our home in Lake Jackson in Manassas, VA. From the very beginning, she was hands-on in every aspect of preparing our home for sale. She helped us stage the property, suggested a few simple, cost-effective improvements, and even pitched in to help clean before the photography session and open house!
The marketing she put together was great, including a stunning drone video that showcased the beauty of our lakeside property. Thanks to her efforts, we had great exposure and interest right from the start. We got multiple competitive offers (over asking) after a single open house and were able to close very quickly.

Laura then also helped us quickly find a single family home to rent, including our large dog, even though there’s little to no compensation for realtors for rentals. She truly had our best interests in mind the whole way through.

A few months later, we decided to buy a home, and she helped us secure a beautiful property in our ideal location and in a very competitive market, especially at our price point. She was even communicating and strategizing with us about properties while out of town on a birthday vacation!

If you're looking for a dedicated, knowledgeable, and caring realtor, you won’t go wrong with Laura. She’s truly exceptional!

I cannot recommend Laura enough. She has helped us both buy and sell our home and both times she was amazing. She's very honest and transparent, takes the time to explain things in great detail, and is incredibly supportive throughout the entire process. From the initial meeting to come up with a game plan, suggestions for small improvements to get your house ready, to help with staging, Laura was there every step of the way. Laura truly cares about her clients and wants to help them anyway she can. If you're in the market for a real estate agent I cannot think of anyone better than Laura!

She answered all our questions, planned a timeline, and got all documents needed in a very timely manner. She even went above and beyond to take care of some HOA hiccups along the way. I had an excellent experience with Laura recently as a tenant of a beautiful Lake home rental. She was able to accommodate my busy schedule and quickly addressed my many questions and concerns no matter when I sent them. Her knowledge and experience with the community was actually vital to my desire to living there, and I'm glad to say I've really enjoyed the short time I've lived there so far. It's hard to convey how helpful Laura was in our home search, but we'll try and paint a picture in this review. We were new to the area, and started our search by looking for lots in the woody/hilly areas around Manassas. Laura knew the areas intimately, and could talk about likely noise levels in the neighborhood, and also provided soils expert contacts that we used to get information about septic installation and wells. We didn't find a lot in this area, so we moved to lots in Haymarket, which again Laura was very familiar with. More discussion with the soils expert suggested there might be complications with development that we didn't want to deal with, so we then turned to look for houses that needed substantial renovation back in the original hilly areas around Manassas. We found one we liked, and discussed it with some people that Laura new that were familiar with renovation, so we could estimate final cost. We made an offer on one with a price that made sense, given the renovation cost, but our bid came in second, which was OK because a higher price didn't make sense. We then expanded our search to include ready to live in houses at a price level similar to the price plus renovation cost that we just considered. That brought us to several opportunities in Warrenton, an area that Laura was again familiar with, providing restaurant recommendations and places to visit, which helped us learn about the area. We were interested in a house in Warrenton, and Laura forwarded our questions to the selling realtor who she knew (she knows a lot of the realtors in the area), and we made another offer. We sadly came second place again with that bid, but it worked out for the best because we then found the perfect house, setting and location, and worked with Laura to prepare a compelling offer, that was accepted. Laura had great mortgage contacts that beat what we could do both in interest and speed, as well as all kinds of service connections for things we wanted to do before moving in. We found her service suggestions (electricians, painters, movers, etc.) all to be great, we'd use every one of them again. The quick summary is: Laura is wonderful to work with, stuck with us through a long and every changing search, is familiar with all kinds of Nova areas, knows many of the realtors, knows the processes, knows lots of experts and service providers, and made the challenging buying process in a hot market successful for us. We wouldn't use anyone else, and recommend Laura without hesitation to anyone looking for a realtor in Nova.

We have bought and sold several homes over the years and have worked with many realtors, some helpful and others not so much. Laura, however, is by far the best realtor we have ever worked with. She is extremely knowledgeable and professional and also very personable and easy to work with. Laura was very patient as she helped us search for just the right home for our daughter and her growing family. She never pressured us when we were indecisive but was always available when we needed her and extremely responsive to our many questions and inquiries. Laura was also very helpful recommending professional contractors that can help with projects and repairs after the sale. When we were talking about some painting or electrical work in a home we were looking at, Laura would say ‘I have a guy that can do that’ We called on 2 of her referrals and they were great too! We can highly recommend Laura for any real estate needs and we definitely plan to call on her again in the future!

Laura made our first home-buying experience fun and easy. Five years ago, she found me a great condo rental. Last year, she found me an amazing home. Someday, as a growing family, we may need to expand again, and Laura will be my #1 and only!! There are not enough great words I can say about Laura Conklin. I owned a home in Reston Virginia and hired a "hot shot" sales person who just wanted the listing. She did nothing. for two weeks in the prime selling time I fired that agent . I was referred to Laura by a friend and we instantly became friends. She staged my home and gave my the best advice on how to market my home and get the most for it ! She went to work right away and she sold my home for the listing price in less than a week ! There were some minor HOA issues but Laura is not a quitter , she helped me through till the end and went way above and beyond ! I highly recommend Laura Conklin to anyone buying or selling a home. She is bar none the best agent and really cares about her clients !

I found my new Condo because of Laura, the first place we took a tour of did not work out but she had followed up with me in a month and was able to find me a nice condo, in the same price range. She is very hands on with her clients, walked through the whole property with me making sure if i have any questions she is getting me the right answers. She is extremely prompt with her responses via texts or emails, and kept me in the loop with everything. One of the best things were, on my move in date she did a whole walk through and made sure all the appliances were functioning for me, there is a personal touch to her communication which I appreciated a lot, will love to work with her in the future again!

My wife and I hired Laura as a real estate agent to rent out our properties. We were very please with her professionalism and attention to detail. She was able to acquire several applications from high quality tenants making it a win-win situation on whomever we chose. Laura went through a meticulous process of gathering all of the financial information of each prospective tenant and creating a risk assessment. This risk assessment includes a thorough breakdown of where the person current stands financially to include debt-to-income ratio, credit score, and credit information. Having this information really helped us to choose the right renters. We are very please with our tenants and thankful for the hard work that Laura put in to find them. On the recommendation of a friend, my wife and I enlisted Laura’s help in finding a new home for our family and our experience could not have been better. Being our first home purchase, Laura expertly guided us through the process, explaining some of the finer details that come with homebuying and generally putting our minds at ease. Working around our schedule, Laura would always be available (sometimes on short notice) to show us any homes we were interested in seeing and was able to give us real time feedback and advice on the properties we were touring. Despite the volatile market, we ended up buying a house that was perfect for our family. We had an excellent experience with Laura Conklin as our Real Estate Agent!
Laura guided us through a tricky situation whereby we needed to obtain renters for our current residence in order to proceed with a new house purchase in a very short amount of time.
Laura was on top of every detail, every step of the way, with respect to informing us of the process and steps, providing sound advice, looking for new houses, arranging visits, working with all parties involved (selling agents, inspectors, etc.), submitting offers, and closing, while simultaneously preparing and putting the previous residence on the market for rent and guiding us through the rental process resulting in the ability to secure new tenants in time to allow for closing on the new house.
Laura was highly attentive and responsive to the needs of our situation and our goals and delivered. We never felt 'lost' during the process while working with her. Should we have the need in the future we would certainly contact her first. Highly recommend!

Laura is very astute about the real estate market. She listed our home at just the right price point to drive great traffic while hitting our stretch goal. She went well above and beyond on staging our home to make sure everything was perfect for the open house. Selling a home is stressful. Trying to maintain normalcy in daily life while having the extra layer of keeping the house in perfect shape for showing; it’s exhausting.
