Laura Pearson loves finding the pieces of the puzzle of wants and needs for her customers. She is a calm, diplomatic problem solver and has a sixth sense about real estate. Laura thrives on creative thinking, wordsmithing, and originality. She is persistent with her efforts and always goes the extra mile for her customers. She listens with attentiveness, perception, and sensibility.

Laura's 25 years as a fashion designer and entrepreneur translate today into her inspired art direction and marketing of homes. Laura excelled in her field, winning three international design awards. She naturally understands interior space and design options. Owner and founder of her business, Tijuca by Laura Pearson, taught her the A to Z of running a business. She founded a cottage industry of handknit sweaters in the Andes Mountains of Ecuador and succeeded in expanding her business globally to include Japan, China, Uruguay, and Italy. Applying these skills to the business of real estate was instinctive.

Laura grew up in Glen Rock, New Jersey and Lenox, Massachusetts. She graduated from Wheaton College, attended the summer language program at the University of Barcelona and is fluent in Spanish. Her design business was based in Manhattan and Sag Harbor, New York, where she lived for many years. Laura moved to Sarasota in 2009 and loves its natural beauty, cultural world, and healthy lifestyle.
