About Laura

With nearly a decade of experience in real estate and more than 18 years of calling Sarasota home, Matt and Laura Rode have become two of the area’s most trusted and respected real estate professionals. As Co-Founders of the Sarasota Gulf Coast Homes team, they bring a powerful combination of industry expertise, local knowledge, and a passion for client success.

Laura Rode was raised in Connecticut and earned her B.A. in Social Work from Central Connecticut State University in 2011, graduating with honors. In 2014, she obtained her Real Estate Sales Associate license from the Tampa School of Real Estate and later advanced her career by earning her Broker Associate license in 2021. Laura holds the prestigious Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS) designation and is a proud member of Keller Williams Luxury International.

Throughout her career, Laura has excelled in both sales and leadership roles. Today, she serves as the CEO of Sarasota Gulf Coast Homes, where she focuses on developing an agent-centric business model that empowers growth and provides additional profit opportunities for team members.

Matt Rode serves as the team’s Lead Buyer and Listing Specialist and has personally closed over $200 million in real estate volume. Known for his commitment to service and relationship-building, Matt’s business is driven primarily by repeat clients and referrals. He specializes in luxury and waterfront properties on Anna Maria Island and the Keys of Sarasota, offering clients an insider’s perspective on some of Florida’s most desirable coastal communities.

Together, Matt and Laura have built a real estate organization that prioritizes trust, results, and lasting relationships—backed by proven market expertise and a shared love for the Sarasota lifestyle.
