As a native Oregonian, Laura Weiland has always had a love for the state and all of the beauty that abounds within it. Upon moving back to the city of Medford 10 years ago, she fell in love all over again with the people, the beauty, and the lifestyle the Rogue Valley offers. Excited to combine this love of the area with her background in sales, marketing and technology, and her lifelong passion for real estate, Weiland gravitated toward the opportunity to help people find great houses.
Having distinguished herself amongst her peers at the University of Oregon, Weiland graduated with a BA of Science in 2000, and later, a Masters in 2002; both earning Magna Cum Laude distinction. During her 15+ years of sales at both Pfizer Pharmaceuticals and Symantec, Weiland had proven that she had the potential to be highly collaborative, project oriented, and able to negotiate difficult transactions, all while making sure her customers were happy and informed throughout the entire process. Her relationships with her clients are her number one priority and she aspires to meet their needs in any way she can. In addition, Weiland has spent the past 6 years supporting marketing projects as an independent contractor, often utilizing social media and technology to maximize the sales process. When joining the RE/MAX Platinum Brokers Team in 2014, she was excited to learn that many of these same marketing tools are used in the office to help real estate clients maximize their listings and search potential.
Whether helping her clients find that perfect first home, shepherding a transition to a larger home to support growing family needs, or helping a family downsize to a smaller home, Weiland understands the joys and stresses involved. Having made many of these same transitions herself over the years, both on her own and with her family; Weiland knows how invaluable knowledgeable support can be. This is exactly what she works very hard to provide.
When not in the office, Weiland is found volunteering her time in the classrooms, or as PTO Secretary at Hoover Elementary school. With a passion to keep community close to home, she is also the Race Administrator for The Rogue Run, not only supporting the plans for the events, but also as an active runner. Weiland also finds joy in hiking, live music, discovering new dining experiences and most of all, spending quality time with family and close friends.
