Layne is an award-winning REALTOR with Compass who has been helping clients buy and sell real estate for 20 years. Layne is enthusiastic about taking care of his clients and always puts his client's interests before his own. Layne is a savvy real estate investor with experience in remodeling and designing his own investment properties throughout San Diego. Layne's background in construction allows him to pass along invaluable insight to his buyers interested in remodeling. He also uses this background to help his sellers remodel their homes to maximize profits when they put their home on the market. Layne is known for his skills and expertise in preparing his sellers' homes for sale offering a concierge level of service through the Compass Concierge program. Some of Layne’s passions include surfing, surf coaching, traveling, and spending time with his wife and kids, family, friends, and his yellow lab. Prior to real estate, Layne had a career as a professional surfer competing locally and traveling the globe surfing and competing on the World Qualifying Series Tour. Layne produced and was featured in various editorial pieces with incredible surf imagery for Surfer Magazine, Surfing Magazine, Transworld Magazine, and Surfer's Journal. One of Layne's philanthropies is giving back to the surf community. He sponsors and donates to many local surf events including Gromfest, Jetty Kids, Boys to Men 100 Wave Challenge, and the Firefighter Surf Challenge. Layne is inspired by the San Diego coastal lifestyle and enjoys helping his clients live the dream in beautiful San Diego!
