As a Licensed Broker at Compass Real Estate, Layne Zagorin brings a client-first mindset, strategic marketing expertise, and deep knowledge of Chicago’s most sought-after neighborhoods, including Lincoln Park, Lakeview, the Gold Coast, and the Near North Side.
Layne began her career in healthcare and nonprofit leadership after earning her MBA in Marketing and Management (following a BS in Genetics from UW–Madison). Her passion for real estate was sparked during the search for her own home, where she discovered how meaningful it is to help people find a place that reflects their lives, values, and dreams.
Formerly with @properties and now a proud member of the Alex Stoykov Group at Compass, Layne leverages innovative tools and a collaborative team environment to deliver exceptional results. Whether managing the sale of a luxury penthouse, guiding first-time buyers, or advising on new construction, she brings project management precision and genuine care to every transaction.
Layne specializes in condominiums, single-family homes, co-ops, townhomes, and new development. Known for streamlining complex processes with clarity and calm, she aims to save clients time, exceed expectations, and make the journey as enjoyable as the destination.
Beyond her work in real estate, Layne serves on the boards of JNF-USA and the Rice Children & Family Center. She enjoys life in Lincoln Park with her husband and two daughters and can often be found fitting in a workout between school pick-ups and showings.
