Searching for our home during this time of strange economic circumstances felt like a daunting journey when we first began. But by a stroke of good fortune, (and Zillow) - we crossed paths with Leah and Jon Courage, and that has made all the difference for us in every possible way.

From my very first conversation with Leah it was as clear as day that she was a consummate professional who not only follows through, but is at all times, ahead of the game. Not only was she able to answer every single question and challenge thoroughly and articulately and with a wealth of information and expertise - but she did so with such clear authenticity and passion for what she does. We felt very quickly that we could trust her to be an expert guide and an ally as we tackled everything that comes with searching for and purchasing a home.

At every showing, Leah came beyond prepared. She came to the table equipped with research on the property, with incredible insights, and most importantly, a deep connection to and awareness of our goals, our needs, and our specific situation. She was there to earn our business, and make certain we got everything we needed and more.

Our search initially started out with a wide net. We were searching MANY areas in Washington and, because of that, did showings with multiple realtors in different locations, but none of them felt as personally devoted to our needs as Leah. She followed up consistently, but never overwhelmed us. She was so positive and encouraging, but also incredibly direct and clear about every property, and every aspect of the process.

As we continued to search, we had the pleasure of beginning to work with Jon as well and found him to also be a treasure trove of expertise and information. He was also honest, direct, very funny, and incredibly professional.

Together, we felt we had a crack team on our side. They jumped through hoops and were incredibly prompt and responsive to every single inquiry, text, question, emotion, thought bubble and annoying equivocation.

Every single question was met with enthusiasm and expert advice. Leah and Jon know this industry backward and forward. They educated us at every turn and offered every possible option and consideration we needed.

And when we finally walked into the house that checked all of our boxes - they knew before we did - and were already pulling out all the stops and contacts in their toolbox to ensure not only that we could secure our home, for the right price, but that the entire negotiation would go seamlessly.

We were expecting the purchasing process to be bumpy - but it was absolutely seamless from start to finish. Leah stayed present at every possible moment - answering every single question, advocating for us, expertly guiding us, and always being excited, encouraging, direct, clear, honest and authentic.

Leah and Jon not only helped us find our dream home - which exceeded our expectations - but most importantly, they dug in and put in the work to be present for us at every step to ensure we got through the process with zero problems.

They also referred us to multiple contacts throughout the process that turned out to be exceptional referrals. We did our homework on lenders in particular - but in the end, Leah’s recommendation was of course the most professional and best option. Her conscientiousness is also clear in who she partners and does business with. She clearly has high standards for who she keeps company with - and we benefitted greatly from that.

You cannot match the level of expertise and devotion Leah clearly brings to the table. I don’t think she sleeps.

We could not have had a better team on our side. They’re the best decision we made in our home buying journey.

We are about to move into our dream home. It’s everything. Thank you Leah and Jon!

Kayla was truly exceptional. We were familiar with the area and knew where we wanted to purchase a home. We met Kayla through Zillow on a whim to view a home the same day. Our offer was excepted, however we were soon bumped as we had a continency to sell our home first, out of state. Kayla continued to keep us updated on the inventory in our desired area on a long distance basis. She offered to tour the properties via videos. Nine months later a home became available in our desired neighborhood, and Kayla got us in to view the property same day the house hit the market. Her responsiveness was incredible. Kayla helped us figure out the best way to position our offer and what price to go in at to give us the absolute best chance that the sellers would accept our offer over the other ones. It only took 24 hours for an response that our offer was accepted. This is a testament to her commitment and knowledge of the area and the market.
I must also mention Sofia, the Operations Manager for the Courage Group. She was a pleasure to work with and kept us up to date on the process and closing of our transaction.
We will definitely recommend Kayla and the Courage Group to potential home buyers and/or sellers.

Leah and Jon were invaluable in selling my home. It seemed like a difficult time and uncertain time for the housing market, but their expertise and great communication of their advice made it an extremely comfortable and low-stress process. When I needed a mover, they instantly put me in touch with someone local and independent and they did a great job. A handyman to prepare a couple of things? They had a great one come in within a couple of days. Their local knowledge and relationships with contractors like movers, handymen, and landscapers meant that all things for the prep were able to be completed quickly and competently. Once the house was listed, I had regular (just the right amount) of updates and analysis of the sales activity. Leah and Jon are experts at their craft, have the right amount of local knowledge and relationships, have a positive attitude and are just good people. The house sold quicker than I expected and for a price I was happy with. I couldn't recommend Leah and Jon any higher for buyers and sellers in the area.

This is my second time working with Leah Courage and her team to purchase/sell a property. Each time Leah and her team went above and beyond to make the process as smooth and stress free as possible. For both properties, I also completed the closings from a different state due to traveling for work. Leah and her team made sure that my household goods were moved safely and kept me informed throughout the entire process since I could not physically be there. While purchasing and selling a home can be stressful, especially for first time home buyers, Leah ensures the the buyer/seller understands what’s going on throughout each step of the process, and does a great job of keeping your nerves at bay.

Maggie helped us buy our dream home in Coupeville, WA. We’re out of state buyers, and she made the process very easy. Not only that she toured the home we were interested in on the same day we called her about it, and sent us videos of walkthroughs but she also made herself available, and was present during the house inspection. She also kindly offered to do another walkthrough after the sellers move out and hold our keys until we can make it up there. Maggie is very professional, friendly, and communicative. We were buying remotely, and not only was she super responsive, but also she spent quite a bit of time touring properties for us while making personal video walkthroughs of each tour. Leah was fantastic to work for our search for a new home or lot to build on in Anacortes. We were living in Colorado at the time. She listened well to what thought we were looking for and showed us a variety of homes and lots always asking what we liked and disliked about each one. She quickly honed in upon listings that matched better and better which was important as we had limited trips to the area and we needed to be as efficient as possible. In the end, she FaceTimed us from a new lot listing with confidence we could build exactly what we wanted - she was right! We purchased it immediately and now live in our dream home overlooking the San Juan Island!

But, the service did not stop at the lot purchase! She introduced us to builders and many others in Anacortes along the way which made the follow up process a dream 😎. Leah was a key part of making us confident and welcome to our new town!

She had to do a lot of work for us by going to property and making videos... when we found our dream home we had to move fast and Leah was right there helping us make the perfect offer. Leah is such an amazing realtor and I am so happy I had an opportunity to work with her to buy my first home! She did a great job acting fast on new listings and giving advice on remaining competitive in the current housing market. Leah is awesome!! We were first-time home buyers and had lots and lots of questions which she never made us feel silly about. She was super knowledgeable on the home buying process and the market in this area (N Whidbey Island). She also has good relationships with some of the local selling agents which is great. We toured 4 or 5 homes, made offers on 2 of them, and ended up buying our first house for 15,000 less than our offer price! She knows all the ins and outs about how to negotiate and come up with solutions that appeal to everyone. She was there every step of the way and obviously wants the best for her clients! I would ABSOLUTELY recommend anyone looking to buy a home to give her a call! You'll be happy you did. :)
