About Leah
Leah Hyland has a deeply held sense of responsibility to contribute to the needs of the community and world in which she lives and works. Every day, Leah strives to harness her passion and energy to better her community and the world of real estate through cultivating mutual understanding with her clients.
Leah's real estate experience began with Hyland Investments, a family-owned business involved in commercial, residential and property management transactions. Attaining her real estate license in 2007, she worked hard to survive the recession and grew her business by exceeding clients' expectations. She received the Business Growth award in 2009 and 2010, despite a downward economy. A resident of Oregon for 38 years, Leah graduated from Churchill High School here in Eugene, and went on to get a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Oregon. Her major in International Studies helped her to develop a "big-picture" view of situations, and of the world. A professional focus on conflict management has refined her training in leadership, as well as the running of smooth transactions. Leah has recently obtained her Certified Negotiation Expert designation, making her one of the leading negotiators in Lane County! She also received Top Sales awards for Windermere in 2016, 2017, and 2019.
Leah's drive to leave a distinct and positive imprint on the world of real estate is taken a step further through her dedication to philanthropy. While interning in Gaborone, Botswana she managed the distribution of grants to non-profit organizations that promoted AIDS education and prevention in southern Africa. At the same time, she worked hands-on with three- to six-year-old orphans, an experience which dramatically expanded her perspective on the world. In January 2017, she took her 11-year-old daughter to serve in a Ugandan orphanage. The experience had a profound impact on both and increased the desire to make a positive impact on the world around them.
She lives in Eugene with her 2 children, bouncing between meeting with clients and coaching the kids in sports. Leah brings passion and resourcefulness to all her endeavors, whether personal or professional.
Communication is paramount to successfully navigate real estate transactions. Always accessible and a keen listener, communication with my clients is frequent and foremost. Buyers and sellers have come to count on her for extensive market knowledge, reaching their investing goals, and getting the most value out of their property. She enjoys every part of the transaction, and she is committed to quality. Because of this buyers and seller rightly count on Leah.
